No update since 6 months still expecting top rankings

    Hi,
    One of our clients has not update his business site for six months still he expects top 10 rankings for bpo and other accounting keywords is it possible. :confused:

    I suppose the business websites are not updated on regular basis.
    The other reason might be due to its strong link building.

    That depends on link building, how much work the competitors done etc. It sure is possible.

    Second on this. :) There are many factors and content updated regularly just a one of them. However, the most important is, the authoritative status of the site. Many of site which have sitelinks on them are strong on some certain keywords. It could hold its position for a very long long time even its content never been updated for a year. If you have been linked from some "real" authority site (ie. cnn.com has written story about your site with a link pointing to your homepage) then it is another story.

    I think it is possible if this domain has enough quality backlinks to defeat its competitors for targeted keywords. :)

    ok will try linkbuilding currently i have submitted to about 1000 web directories and done about 100-200 social bookmarking etc etc it has a backlink from dmoz too but the dmoz link has been 301 redirected to a new domain name

    Ya, I agree with markov,

    he got strong back links, that's why still stable his rankings.
