List of Search Engines other than Major Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing

What are all the other good search engines people did not focusing on?

 

A couple of weeks back I was looking for sites on a topic that Google tends to censor (don't ask ) and found this site:

It lists quite a few search engines (some larger, some smaller).

 

that is a tough Question, because it needs search a lot to get to know that what good search engines are not getting enough attention, as it first needs to find out that is this search engine hot or not?

Just ask yourself what other search engines you use?
There're plenty of them (including ask.com which is basically google) but do you ever use them? why do you expect other people to use them then?

 

Ask is not actually Google, just syndicates a lot of Google ads - there indexes are completely different.

 

When I first started I searched through a ton of different search engines. Also I think those who use specific isp's use their preferred search as well. Another thing, any and all ATTEMPTS to compete with google do paid adverts and TRY to get traffic SO if it is extra traffic why not do it.

Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, AOL, ASK, Baidu, Altavista, Alltheweb, Lycos are the search engines which people focus on it...

 

Most of the people use only google, yahoo, Bing, ask and altavista. Others only provide a negligible amount of traffic because very less people use them

Now there are a lot of search engines came . But Google stands in the top position. The search engine cuil comes to beat Google .But it can't. Ask, Altvista etc are also good search engines.
