Rude, no. Misguided, yes. PR is hopeless as a measure of the validity of a site. All it tells you is that a site is probably new. A few PR 0 sites may be under some kind of penalty, but not the vast majority.
I thought that the whole point of a directory was to have sites submitted to it. Sure it should be quality sites but as said many times before - PR and quality are not the same things.
"Most" is for search enginees and I don't think it violates any rules. I have another directory which will accept PR0. But I just want to make this directory not to accept PR0. My site is PR0 but I didn't submit it to my directory so that I followed my rule. I am checking all PR0 sites now but I usually see a one-page site with huge adsense ads with no surprise. That's against my site's name. What to share with others?
Even if you removed the "most" the description wouldn't be acceptable because first of all it was copied.
Just a random search at a random directory http://www.webndex.com/index.php?q=Most+reliable+Search+engine
Here is my description, the old copied one has been removed long long ago. <meta name="description" content="Best Place to Share Your Links"></meta>
While my directory is niche, I have seen more good submissions with a PR of 0 then I have seen garbage sites with a 0. Sad to say the crap sites have all had decent PR.
its your directory so you can do what you want.. this has probably been said before in this thread but PR isnt a good way to weed out the shitty sites.. theres tons of PR0 sites full with useful original content
Is this a joke or what? Today I got 89 submissions so far but 80 of them are PR0? I usually have only at most 50% PR0 and it decreased to ~20% as I mentioned that I won't accept PR0 on the front page. Hope that people are not joking with me.
I think it was suggested earlier in this thread to make that more prominent on the submission page. Many times webmasters will go directly to the submission page and never see your home page.
You rejected my site last week, so i'm biting down on my tongue here - i'll accept your apologies when I hit PR9. When I saw the rejection (my first) I didn't think it harsh or unreasonable, but I felt that it was a missed opportunity for both of us. (My hits have increased by a factor of 20+ over the last month, and I hope to be out of the sandbox soon!)
