where are we supposed to go search for news then? we dont want to read just from one site? dont forget that free press release sites also publish quality news and looks like they have a good future.

I think that they're running a business so it's only natural that some of them will want to charge money to view their news. They still have to pay for journalists and employees to ensure that you get the dependable news you want... that takes money.

I don't see how that business model works. There are too many other places to get free news.

I am certainly never going to pay to read the news from MSM. But i am more than willing to pay for quality, unbiased, genuinely free media news.

Depends what you're looking for I guess. Right now I have no idea to pay for news I can find for free elsewhere.

If their news are really interesting then maybe I would think if it's worth to pay just to read their news.

I will never pay to read the news - I am sure we can find somebody who is giving away the same story for free.

You can always find a place to read the news for free :) I read news from all over the world every day from major news companies on 1 site :p full articles. Saves me time and gives me more things to read when i'm waking up in the morning :)

I understand news portals want to earn money, but I don't think many persons will pay for news. Unless their articles are very, very special.

That's not even what this article is about ... it's about companies who already charge for content and/or restrict content to subscribers whose content is viewable via Google News.

I do pay to read the news. I pay my internet provider per month which lets me get on here and read, play games, watch a video clip, etc. I'm still waiting for someone to suggest more taxes, fees, etc. on internet service providers to pay for some internet related.

No way, I wouldn't pay to read the news, I pay for my cable which has news, so I will continue with watching that from now on, I used to get the news for free online >.>

I would not pay to read the news. I do however, readily pay to read commentary and analysis of the news.
