If you have the Alexa toolbar installed, you can get your own site to about 300,000 or so just by visiting the site yourself a few times a day. If you want to get under 100,000 you need some real visitors - 1000+ a day.

My main site (a programming tutorial site) is up and down between 650K to 1.5M. As long as the traffic stays consistent
My rank is 521,732 which i'm pretty happy with. Had 12K UV last month and will hopefully improve on that!
PFFT LOL alexa is not worth even looking at i built a blog stuck on automated content and left it and with a few weeks had 500k alexa its now at 300k without even doin anything to it site is less than 6 months old now tell me alexa is worth looking at lol google bing msn yahoo etc you know search engines ? bother about your ranks there
my website here is 140k rapid hook, but at here web directory less visitor have higher alexa than first one. WONDER WHY?
