it really depends on the sites content. if they appear to be mfa's nope.

if they are well constructed and offer something genuine then yes.

All these rules are different for each directory. I believe directorycritic has a deeplinks listing of sites that would accept your subdomain listings. Good luck.

I can't think why subdomains would be a problem for any directory.

Yes but only as paid submissions, I am trying to keep my directory free and this is one of the few monetization options that I have since I don't want to put adsense or sell links.

Edit to add: However if it is site hosted on a free host like blogger blogs then I accept them for free.

Actually it wont be a problem but there are a few finance sites which are submitted with seperate 10 - 15 sub domains which totally looks odd.

In my around 20 directories i got the same 15 subdomains submitted, i.e. 15*20 = 300 approvals for a single site

    It really looks odd!!!

Also i have to open each and every subdomain an if it is not completely designed(still under construction), then i am forced to Delete them.

I have to imply my 3 - 4 hours per day looking into directories

I got 15 subdomains each for 5 sites a few days ago. I deleted all the 75 subdomains plus the original 5 sites (Total 80). Next day that guy submitted 45 inside pages. After that I made it paid. Its not possible for me to delete 70-80 sites on a daily basis. :(

Though I have accepted a few, it just depends on the contents. If I find it useful and unique, I accept it.

I accept deeplinks and subdomains, but only if they fit in a different category or subcategory from the original page submitted. And limit each site to only 3 links total.

Is working well so far, but then again my site is niche and doesn't get as many of the submissions you all are referring to.

I went so far as to create a subcategory called Single Articles when I found a state tourism site that had a wonderful article on selling crafts to tourists. The rest of the site has absolutely nothing for my target audience (unless they plan on traveling to that part of the country any time soon) - so why list it as a crafty site? This way the resource is made available and my site visitors know it is only the one page that will be of use to them.

Why not list a truly valuable and authoratative resource, even if it is only a page? Isn't the whole idea of a directory sharing information and hopefully making a little green while we're doing it?
