It has to be Windows 98. Apple thinks it's still the current product (see there current commercials). Bob (Windows for Dummies, toddlers, and senile) has to be the most amusing.
Win ME and Win 98... havent use Vista so I dont know anything about it. but I am pretty happy with XP..
Windows 98 has thousands of benefits over XP, but XP has billions of benefits over 98 - 98 and XP are the best going. 95, ME and WMP are the worst.
a lot of people loved 98se, still use it in some instances; I do on my OLD Celeron 300A(whoot) b/c some of my daughter's games don't support W2k!!!. Crouching Tigger, Hidden Pooh for one. I think ME was far worse...father in law has that on his e-machine...kill me now!
windows ME... simply sucks... windows 98... not that bad... windows 2000 P - good option to go for...
indeed. even more mind numbing was that it only came w/1 stick of RAM!! 64MB!!! you'd hit 'start' & there was literally a 2.77second delay for the menus to appear. of course he was 70, just used it for email & solitaire, he didn't realize that it was slower than frozen dirt...
I think the worst product was Windows 3.1 although anything back then was crap compared to today. But when you lived in 1990 Windows 3.1 was a very good OS. Heck I even have 1 486 machine sitting in my basement with Windows 3.1 on it hehe.
haha - offtopic, as it's not microsoft, but I have a 'greenmonitor' sat in my attick somewhere.. You know .. the ones that had a green screen, and you turn it on, and it takes 5 mins to load, and its just a page you write on and print off... and printing takes about 25minutes.. lmao they are naff! dont know why i still have it.. :s
I have to agree! I spent over 3 hours yesterday trying to remove IE 7 beta 3 from my dad's computer...it just wouldn't work and kept shutting down the computer everytime i tried deleting it.
