Niche Help (possibly computer security)

Hi,

I am trying to find a niche for a website I am going to make. I was thinking a site on data security written for those who dont know alot about computers. It would have a brief page about what types of security is needed for a computer and a description of how you can protect your computer. Then pages going into detail about each type and advice on good programs both free and paid to accomplish this.

Is this a good niche. If not should it be more specific or less so. Mention if this will be a good paying site or if I should try a different niche, or sub-niche. Please give suggestions for how to improve this idea/niche.

Computer security is a good paying niche - particularly in the 'computer network security' domain. The other consideration you may have is to study the current top sites for your exact target keywords. Are they hard to beat?

Yeah thanks the top sites are all hard to beat (like Microsoft) maybe I need to find a different niche any ideas for a similar but less competitive niche

 

Never mind thank you but I found an awsome niche according to adwords it has 18000 searches a month and is not very competitive. Does this sound good to you. It is for a specific type of ccg (collectable card game) thanks again for all the help and advice

 

It would be a good niche if you know a lot about that niche. Any niche can be good if you know a lot about it.

 

Yep I used to play it slot and I have tons of the cards still thanks

 

CCG is a pretty tough niche if you ask me.. unless you have better content and greater value comparing to the top ten sites. At less than $0.80 per click for CCG, I think it is not worth it..

But having said that, if it is your passion and interest, go for it! If it is for money, then choose another niche.

 

Back to square one... I don't have any more ideas

If your ideas revolve around CCG, take a look at some other niches that relates to CCG. Go and experience the Google Wonder Wheel and I'm sure you will come with something.

Computer security is a very competitive an high paying niche. Choose it only if you are deeply interested in it.
