Looking to buy stock images to use it in themes/templates

I am looking to buy stock images to use it in themes/templates. can you suggest me few sites which offer for cheap.

I found that stock sites like istockphoto, fotolia, etc. asking us to pay $100-$200 for each image to use the image in web templates.

Can someone show me cheap one.

If you look around a bit you will find site that have good images for $1.-$4.

 

I also use http://www.photo-wizard.net ...it's very nice.

istockphoto.com is not as much as you mentioned above. For web-sized graphics, you are looking at $1-10. sxc.hu is limited, but free!

OP, I think istockphoto asks from 1 $ + amounts for 1 image, based on size and credits ( number of usage )
not 100 $... omg, that would have been too much if true.

I think they should let us use the full sized watermarked images for free, using small ones just sucks.

 

No it's $1 only if you're going to use the image on your own site, not for templates you are going to distribute.

 

Do a search on Royalty Free Images. You'll get a lot of quality sites to pop up.

I allow my images (first link in my signature) to be used in web templates - and they can be purchased for as little as $1 (or $0.10 if you subscribe). Hit me up if there is a particular image you are looking for, and I'll see what I can do.

 

Why pay? I use google images advanced search and search for images with the topic, size, and type that I'm interested in, that are labelled for commercial re-use or commercial re-use with modification.

 

Unfortunately, if you want to resell you templates, you will need an extended license and none of the above mentionned website will grant you such use. If you want to stay out of trouble you'll need to spend at least $50 or use Norebbo's images.

You can check sxc.hu thats great site with large collection of free images ,for stock photos I only use istockphoto
