I recently received a tax bill from the U.S. IRS for my Adsense earnings back in 2007. Yes, they also added interest. I expect a similar bill to come for 2008. My question is this- If I do not intend to incorporate, how would one go about writing off expenses against this figure? Surely there must be forms for this as well? Please share your experiences in offsetting this 15.3% hit! Anything over $400 is indeed taxed. I reported the income, but had no idea I would be considered "self-employed" as well. Thanks.
don't know if you can wright off on back taxes, but it is schedule c (profit or loss from business) that you fill out for expenses.
That's right- I couldn't think of it at the time. I have amended taxes going back up to 3 years before, so I'll assume I can do it with this as well- until I find different in further research.
