So, one of my friend has this "SBI Cash Plus - Maestro" ATM-CUM-Debit card, note it is not Master card. So do you guys know if this Maestro card going to work for paypal verification?
I would certainly like to request 'Vivekgodgift' to clarify if verification is possible with all other debit cards issued by SBI as well or is it possible only with Yuva card? I think if it is possible to extract expuse number from one type of card... then it would be possible to do the same with other regular SBI debit cards as well! Regards, RightMan
I have my doubts regarding Maestro, I posted just to clarify (never paid attention to the matter as I always had a regular CC when required). Maestro or Visa Electron, I can't see those are supported on Paypal website.
No. Maestro Card will not be accepted. This screenshot from "Add a Credit Card" page of PayPal explains it all.. No "Maestro" or "Cirrus" here.. .
In that case I think debit card from PNB should work as that has the Master Card logo, but then it does not carry the name of the card holder.
PNB debit cards would have worked too... if only, we had someone like 'vivekgodgift' working in PNB as well! Regards, RightMan
I could work, if you can get the expuse code somehow from your Branch Manager. Disclaimer: I don't know much about PNB. Anything you try is on your own risk.
Yeah I know, on a forum like this one can not take responsibilities for others action. But it helps to discuss all the options. Anyways I will ask my friend to talk to the manager there in PNB, if he can help.
I have mentioned all the debit cards that work in PayPal at paypal.statebank.org.in I am yet to update the eligibility criteria for gold card however it has been already added @ http://www.statebank.org.in/forum/showthread.php?t=6 Regards.
this is wierd, paypal should accept all types of debit cards or else every indian bank should make cards that can give expuse code when added to paypal.
Glad to hear this.I am trying to convince the branch manager about the presence of Yuva Card.No luck so far.
You mean to say that a SBI branch manager is not aware of his bank issuing a Yuva card? This is really weird, to say the least! Regards, RightMan
That's the biggest problem I am facing.I have talked to managers of different branches, nobody was aware of such card. And when I ask them to open their website as a proof, they give me the reasons like "we don't have net connection", "it may be available in some branches but we don't have any such service" etc. I am going to take the printouts of the page and image of Yuva card.I hope it works.
Verified my PayPal with my SBI Yuva (VISA Debit card) Hearty thanks to Mr. Vivek for his help in this matter. Reps++ to him.
Going to apply for yuva card today .. Will I be able to verify my paypal account or atleast add funds to it ??
