I've tried submiting our site at google directory. However i couldn't find the right spot there. Our site sells seashells, coins and Christmas ornaments. Please, suggest me the right place for our site.
    Thanks.

Google directory uses data from dmoz.org. If you get accepted by dmoz you will be listed in Google dir.

    You are wicked;)

It can take from a few days to a few years to get listed in DMOZ. We are not a listing service and you have made a suggestion for us to look at, many thanks. But because all editors are volunteers and we do not see our job as just reviewing the suggestions but building categories from any source we choose it may take a long time. Perhaps before you ask, one would add that you will not be told if the suggestion is used or rejected, sorry.

It' very hard to listed in Dmoz. It's may take 1 weak or it's make take also one year. so it's better you don't worried about that try to submit you website in other directory those are having High PR

Do you mean finding the most suitable category is the issue?

You wouldn't have any trouble getting listed in DMOZ But it will take time very long time indeed but it has got its own values. All major search engines look up at their database its worth the wait.

Search through your website keyword in dmoz.org.
Select the right category for your website keyword.
Submit your website details in there.
Don't use promotional words, use description what your website is built for.
dmoz.org is human reviewed directory; it may take time to include your website after your site submission
