Tons of crappy links = great ranking for competitive keyword

well shit... im bout to hop aboard ... If i can make tons of money in the short term i can use that to make money long term

 

Quality links work MUCH better than shit...but there is still some value in shitty links. Don't discount them completely.

 

i didnt even get a bit of it !

 

some time google will sick and stay away from rules but the things is that if we want to get targeted visitors so we should have to promote our website to related sources..

To the OP, I doubt you had the time to analyze all 39,000 links. Some of them are probably links from authority sites if its ranking for competitive keywords.

 

Analyze the links to that specific page. You will find that the links are pure spam. Another page on that site is targeting health insurance as well. While the TLD may have some decent backlinks, the interior pages don't. Nothing new here. Just someone using some of the domain's authority to help it rank the interior spam pages.

 

and that is exactly the way to put it... I was reading everyones else post about that one page having spectacular links somewhere hidden in the 39,000 and I was like, " I am not going to waste my time writing another post, if they cant even seem to take the time to check and see THERE IS NO GOOD LINK pointing to that page "

I'm sorry mate, but how can you check so many backlinks.
I know some webmasters on purpose add those shitty links to hide the real ones.
You have to understand that if somebody is ready to spread thousand and thousand must have something to show. Why do you think google likes yahoo directory links even tough they are the main competitor? Because they know that people pay a lot just for consideration and thus will surely have enough money to hire somebody for the content and get it right.

 

no i am sure that is not why google likes the yahoo bus directory google doesnt care if you have money or not... supposedly they care if you are relevant.

 

No, no, of course google doesn't care if you have money or not... but you have to remember if you one has loads of money to promote website it means they have enough money to get great content.
In the end of the day even if google give you many referrals and noone likes your site everyone will leave.

 

my point is the site has NOTHING except for a ton of CRAPPY LINKS they do not have any content...

just accept that the google logic has flaws

LoL it couldve happened sooner, but yesterday I checked if the sites was there... and its not LOL it only lasted about a week.

How ever I know they made 10's of thousands of dollars in that week... But hey I guess I am glad I am taking the legit route. My money will last longer

 

Yeah this is a tactic that they use. They rank short term with spammy links. Everntually google catches on and gives them penalties. By that time they've made their thousands and they just do it again with another site.

 

Yeap, nothing special here. Infact, even 6k links is quite a lot! Can increase your rankings quite significantly.

Every single link gives you a little bit of boost, so either really high quality links a few, or lots of quite good.
100 links giving 1 point really does equal 1 link giving 100 points.

 

Unless you've gone through all 36,000 links you can't say that.

It could be a mixture. He could have 35,999 trash links and 1 link from CNN.com - guess that?

Quantity helps, quality is better - both are factors

I have been monitering one site for months and months which ranks extremly well by creating tons of crap links.

Then one day its ranking dropped from the first to the sixth page, and I was really glad that g did the right thing. So I went to check the backlinks of that site, a sudden loss of 4K backlinks.

But, its rankings got back in two weeks, and its backlinks increased by 2K.

You have to admit that crap links really WORK!!!

 

I strongly agree with this - without analyzing 36K links - u can't say this. There may be some links which are irrelevant to that website. Doesn't mean that all 36k links are irrelevant.

Google always keen on relevant backlinks - even one backlink from high authority site will do some drastic changes in ranking..

Relevant, quality backlinks matters always..!
