Why is my site http://movementprayer.com not ranking for the keyword phrase "contemplative prayer". I'm would expect it to rank extremely low because of no backlinks and how young the site is, but when I use the firefox seo keyword tool, it's telling me its not ranking for that keyword phrase on any page in google. If you do the the google search for site:movementprayer.com the word is all over my results. Also, it's pretty much the most used word in my content. I know its not a time factor because google has fully updated all my changes in their search results. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chase Brumfield
Thanks for the response guys but these answers weren't very helpful. My site is already recognized by google, has been for probably three weeks or so. So the addurl suggestion is not going to help. Also, saying "its a hard niche" doesn't help much either considering I'm not wondering why I'm not ranking at the top, I'm wondering why google isn't even recognizing to rank me anywhere for the keyword phrase "contemplative prayer". I am ranked for terms like "god rides a bike" and "movement prayer", but not the most used phrase on my blog, "contemplative prayer" Just so there's no more confusion, I'm not asking why I'm not on the first page of google, I'm asking why I don't exist on ANY pages for the search phrase "contemplative prayer". Thanks, Chase Brumfield
That happens in the Forums because most replies are based on opinion and not experience. You need to reverse engineer your competition. When you do you will see what I saw - respected authority sites ranking for the term. Just keywords and links is not enough to beat out ranking authority sites. And that's the "trick". Learn how to be one of those sites.
Thanks again for the reply, but once again, I must not be making myself clear. I've used an SEO search tool and I am not showing up in the search results AT ALL for the search phrase "contemplative prayer" which is the most used phrase on my blog. I'm NOT wondering why i'm not ranking above anyone or anything like that....I'm just looking at why I am not ranking in Google AT ALL for that phrase. Google is not even picking me up for the search phrase "contemplative prayer" and this doesnt make any sense. Any help is greatly appreciated I hope my question is clear now. Thanks, Chase Brumfield
I think you should try submitting a sitemap to make sure all the pages that mention the keyword phrase 'contemplative prayer' may be indexed by the Big G.
Alright thanks, I'll try the sitemap idea...however I feel like that would be really odd if that's it considering pretty much everyone of my pages and posts has the phrase "contemplative prayer" in it... So It still seems a bit odd and I somewhat doubt this'll fix it. Also when I do the specialized "site:movementprayer.com" search in google that pulls up all the pages google has indexed for my site, all the pages are currently showing up, so it definately already has them indexed. Any other ideas? Is it possible to have too high of a keyword density? Thanks, Chase Brumfield
Though you are not asking about why you are rank for the no1, but to search engine like google, althogh your pages are indexed, but the key phrase on your blog are not add the google alg, or the just find your pages, but not see your key phrase, so you need optimize your key phrase use h1 to high light that! May be this useful, or google has not already chage there serps for your phrase!
Mybe...keywords that you use that so many have used it too and you must more backlink to website with create an article and in the insert in article's submission directory or you can make a social bookmarking for promote you're website ... Thanks and i hope it's can help
