I've read on several sites that 99% of affiliates fail and give up....

    Michelle,

It may not be precise, but it's pretty close, certainly in the high nineties.
    I've put a figure of 98% in my new e-book, and I don't think I'm far off.

What do you mean will it ever fail?
Do you mean do most people not make money out of it? - undoubtedly. Look in the adsense sub-forum, the majority of adsense publishers make pennies.

    Hi,

I'm really interested to know why you think such a high percentage don't make it?... I'm not bragging but it doesn't seem that difficult to me and although I've been working hard every day I'm finally seeing results but when I started a few months ago I was complete newbie but most of the information is out here on the forums, why such a high number, I wonder...

most people give up because they have the idea that billions of dollars are floating around the web and they can get be millionairs in no time. when they dont see a penny in few days, they get disappointed and run. all good things come to those who dont give up and just keep working hard to make it there. focus, dedication, and hard work is the key to be successful in the online business.

You've answered your own question about why the failure rate is so high.
You say you've been working hard every day - that's the difference between you and the failures.

well, It's more of a motivator than a real fact.. it's just a fancy way of saying that in order to succeed you've got to not give up. The truth is that a lot of people give up. If it's 95% 99% 98%, it doesn't really matter. Just don't be one of them.

The 99% is also one of the best traffic to pitch your products and links to as well. They are searching for fast gratification. Sell em an ebook on how to make money and even if it shows them step by step how to do it, they usually miss the FOLLOW THROUGH.

Really good income selling to the 99% lol.

Exactly. That's the point. If it where something like only 50% of all affiliates fail then all that would necessary to succeed would be good luck. The truth is that Internet Marketing is a business like all others. It requires dedication. If someone promises profit without work, they are selling you a lie. You have to put in the work. It's that 1% that actually does this.

and usually the 1% that succeed are the people who have failed time and time again and learned each time from their mistakes. Fail small, succeed big :)

Would it help if I told you roughly the same percentages of marriages fail? So do all new business ventures...and investments...and penis pills...and terrorist attacks against the US...and many other things.

The point is that not everything gets handed to you simply because you want it.

a lot of the 95% of those who are looking to make money online just don't get it for when it comes to making money.

They want the short term gain and do not realize that it takes trial and error with the experience and building the expert authority in their niche to get someone to buy a product.

It wouldn't help at all, infact it's quite a demotivating question. I think my curiosity got the better of me. I had read that line many times and was curious why such a high number.... and just wanted to ask. Sometimes you ask questions just 'to know' even if it doesn't help you at all.

Don't get demotivated. Get off your ass, read this forum and learn how to do it, then you can sit there laughing at all the dumbasses that make fools out of themselves :) Besides, it's a very rewarding feeling when you start getting those checks in the mail :)

    Hi

There is a lot of adsense money making systems but please if money was that easy to make the whole world would be rich.

This is why most people fail as the plan is put over to you in the wrong way and its not that easy to make money.

You have to work on this SEO, Marketing i would say if you had 50k to spend the sites will work and google will be paying you every month.

I am doing okay with it, but I have some content oriented traffic. I have a question - is my next step to make more websites or to perfect what little I know about affiliate marketing?

I feel like so many have knowledge I don't - more specifically, I am under-monetizing great traffic and have little idea on how to improve this.
