16 year old girl lashed 50 times in public - no prizes for guessing who by

A 16-year old Christian girl from southern Sudan has been lashed 50 times for wearing a skirt deemed indecent by authorities in the north who enforce a strict version of Islamic law.

Silva Kashif said Friday she was arrested by a plain-clothed policeman in a Khartoum market last week for wearing a skirt beneath the knee. She was convicted of offending public morality and received 50 lashes on the spot.

What puzzles me is how they can deem a skirt to be offencive to public morality but beating a 16 year old girl publicy not.

 

Yes, it's stupid.

You would think they would at least "punish" in a way that is not so brutal and public. After all kids would see that.

One has to understand reason in order to be reasonable. Clearly neanderthals that think beating a child with a whip in public is less of an offense to morality than seeing the calves of a 16 year old girl don't come within gunshot distance of "reasonable".

On the bright side
I think they do at least offer an idea how we could improve the world. We JOKE about the fashion police, while they actually put it into legally binding practice. We need to start a new religion and make it the law of the land... only this time we outlaw ugly people regardless of sex. Make them wear those beekeeper outfits. No different than their law, we just enforce our personal fashion tastes at the point of a bayonet.

Well, being a Muslim i know for myself and have seen it in action... These fuc*** people who call themselves Muslims are extremists trained to do this work to spoil Islams face for all people. Refreshing to see this view expressed. My daughter, who spent time in the middle east while studying for her language degree (she now works with refugees from Iraq) assures me that the *intelligent* Muslims are not in the least like these backward pukes flogging the girl or the terrorist sympathizing keyboard-jihaddist wannabes we see all the time in here. First time I recall seeing any evidence in this forum of late that she might be right.

No matter how big the number of muslims like you are out there, it will take probably at least a century more untill these types of practice get banned.

Sometimes I am also confused with their belief. In my own opinion, the 16-year old Christian girl doesn’t deserve that kind of punishment. Although, she got a mistake but the punishment is too much.

If more Muslims spoke out like this, there would be an amazing turnaround in how it is perceived by the Western world. Too often we hear silence when such things, some worse, happen. If you let them hijack your religion, then they can define it as well.

 

I';s frankly disgusting that so many muslims are incapable of condemning something as attrocious as the public beating of a 16 year old girl. Seriously, look what your religion has turned you in to.

 

Most of the muslims believe it is the right thing to do, only a few oppose such things, that's why the condemnation % from muslims is so low.

These people who do this kind of lashing etc are being fought against in Pakistan. Mission Rahe Nijat. Its these people who have changed the religion to what they like. Somethings according to them;

1. Women cant go out of the house unless its for Hajj (hajj is in saudi arabia)
2. If any one not following Islam can be forced to do so.
3. Killing children, women and a certain community in Islam will take you to Heaven.

I could write a book if i wanted on them making bad of Islam. The best thing is to ignore them, as Allah(God) himself commanded that he will take care of these rigits himself. I have read in Islamic history that a certain race was made obsolete by the GOD himself making their own religion and exclaiming themselves as supreme.


We as Islamist respect all religions. I like the Hindu religion i have read about it. To all, it may be any religion but they all believe in one supreme being, (the GOD) but have different names.
