Hello, Is it possible if a site has a number of similar themed pages that are of differing content that one can have the internal pages listed if they are large and informative on differening category pages of DMOZ?
As a general rule we do not list deep links, only for very specific sites or purposes. As mentioned in the guidelines, if you suggest a site, suggest the main url, not an internal page.
Just to add, if an editor believes that deeplinking is valuable to the end user the editor will do that, but as Snooks said, it is regarded as the exception unless you have a site like the BBC.
That's true! Only some sites are allowed to have deep links, specially sites owned by editors and editor's friends. The biggest example for this is TOPIX with 10000 deep links. http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=topix.com You will find out that topix.com doesn't deserve such a listing for its non-original content. This is a site belonging to someone who edited DMOZ long time ago and have many friends inside.
just to note ... maybe I`m quite selfish ... but it's quite annoying 4 different threads , same subject ... by same user ... dude someone paid you do to this ? ... JIM .. did by any chance did you share your earnings ?
You will find that there is a limit on the number of returned pages on the ODP search function. The real number is actually a lot closer to TWENTY THOUSAND. So yeah, deep links are the exception...unless you are an editor, or a mainstream national site like CNN or the BBC.
