I would include a security symbol up in the top right. The big brand of security called us and pushed us to use their service and claimed that we would improve conversion by 15%. I didn't take their service (and the $11,000 cost for our traffic volume) but I did move our security symbol up in plain view and conversions went up by 15% (for about $100/yr). Move your existing security badge up and maybe throw in a pretty gold lock.

Also, I look to http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ as one of my best benchmarks for SEO. I worked on a project once and these guys were the main competition for every term and they did great by having so many links that you could get to one of hundreds of thousands of pages within a few clicks. You should have links like they do to compete in that category.

Thank you for the input, I will look into the security lock idea.

They both just as good. Same basic colors and such. The new one is maybe a bit better.

I can't agree - the new one is MUCH better.

    - Better and simpler navigation with direct links to the products
    - Reasonable footer
    - Shop by brand
    - Shop by vehicle
    - Live Support
    - Search box

Nice work - v2.0 is totally different but it has preserved "the spirit" of v1.0

One more thing, you show a phone number which is good but it would be even better if it was toll free. It would make it look less small business and more big business and I believe toll free numbers are cheap.

The new one is better. But actually it is not new site. It just a little redesign for old site.

I guess you're right. The new site is better. I was just glancing at first, but the second site is better organized and navigationally superior. The look isn't that much different, just more corporate.

Look isnt drastically different but new version is undoubtably better organised.
Both sites have almost same amount of XHMTL errors though and would do some work on your page titles with an eye to SEO if I was you

    Good luck

What are you using to check the xhtml errors? If it's validome.org, a majority of the errors are thrown because of the content in href="" on the side menus. The side menus send the user to a different url (Because the shopping cart cannot be hosted on the same server as the website) and the characters within that url trigger errors when an attempt is made to validate. The site uses transitional xhtml and although some validation errors are thrown, it functions as expected on all mainstream browsers that have been tested. (IE6+, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Google Chrome)
