its not against tos as you can do it from your google account.. they do it to make the ads blend better.. thats basically all... unless there is some other reason i dont know of
You can disable it via your account control panel. Some sites perform better without it if people are bidding lower to advertise on the site.
To remove the link: •Log into your AdSense account. •Click the "My Account" tab. •Go down to "OnSite advertiser Sign-Up and click edit. •Uncheck the box include me box.
Note: It can take up to 48 hours for your AdSense ads to update. There is no need to regenerate your AdSense code.
I'm sure I read somewhere on DP that it also has a negative affect on some revenues but I can't remember where I read it or what the reasoning was. Can anyone shed any light?
Ive removed it from my sites because i feel that $0.35 cents per 1000 impressions is a waste of my time & money. i would rather have the chance of a $1.00 click for every 1000 impressions. For me it just makes business sense. On the other hand... I love advertising on sites that still allow the "Advertise on this site" link. I have always been able to find 1000 impressions for under $0.45 on some major sites in my local area. My reasoning is that if a site that is 100x the size of mine can only get 45-50 cents per 1000 impressions, then my rate would have to be worse.
I don't have enough traffic to use CPM, when i get loads of traffic i will re-enable it since it is CPM
no you can pick and choose which site it shows on , if you disable it this will affect all your sites.
I leave it there to be honest, the more people I can get bidding to my site the better, the stakes will then be higher
