What do you think the world would be like?

If everyone believed the same made up shit we would be fine. If there were a few different types of made up bollocks we would have what we have now, endless bloody wars over who has the biggest invisible daddy in the sky.

 

What bothers me is that hardcore evidence doesn't work at all for the fairy tales that religious people believe. It is fucking stupid that people are getting killed over fairy tales. My advice to them is to learn more about how the real world works I guess.

It seems as though you and ncznate's focus is on something (a word) that GOD could give less than a tinker's damn about, "religion". Is it any wonder that so many of you ignorant "ats/ags" end up in Hell?

I agree people like this are so thick headed and deluded. They totally deny reality.

 

In a way we make our own realities... but when you deny basic information, your reality can become quite skewed from what is actually based on universally accepted facts as proved by... well... every day living.

Some people have reasons, such as being blind, or deaf. Their realities do not include either sight for one, or sound for the other. However, their senses in other areas are acute and powerful, and thus they can grasp their world.

When it is the brain that is defective... you could have the eyesight of the Hubble and the hearing of a wolf and still be batshit crazy.

 

I agree religion is the reason the world is breaking up into pieces. But then, if not for religion there would be some other thing. Yeah! You're right! Land, oil ...

Idiots will always fight over things for a reason and the easiest now is Religion.




Atheists are no good either. They are more problematic and spread more hatred than the hardcore religious people!



Its a trend and fashion these days to be an atheist and talk atheism. Most people who portray themselves as atheist will go to church every Friday.

 

Most of the world IS religious already. Grab a clue.

Most countries have secular governments. The uk and America certainly do, as does all of Europe and commonwealth countries. The only places which are ruled by religion are the whacky little middle eastern dust bowls which pop up on the news now and again for doing something stupid, barbaric and/or primitive.

 

you're right, but when I said "religion rules" I meant those who believes in god, and almost all the nation leaders (in power) in this world believe in god or claim to believe in god.

You obviously have no knowledge of the history of the United States. Our constitution was forged to provide religious freedom to people where previously religious rule was intolerant. All of our leaders to date have been believers in god, including Obama. It sounds like what you are asking for is not a secular state but an Atheist state, where the leader should believe there is no god like you do. Why is it an increasing number of people have absolutely no clue about history and intolerance.

 

I personally dont care what the leader believes, so long as he doesn't base public policy on his religion and force other to abide by the imaginary rules he has chosen to abide by.

I dont want to outlaw a belief in god any more than i want to outlaw a belief in fairies. I do, however, reserve the right to think both are rediculously cretinous and laugh out loud at it whenever i see fit.

The fact that all presidents to date have claimed to be religious doesn't make america religious any more than the fact that my doctor is a hindu makes his medicine based on hinduism.

In fact, obama himself has made a very good speech on the importance of a secular government regardless what ones own beliefs happen to be.
