Any Advance Adsense Strategies?

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has a regular ruin to improve their adsense besides the basics?

Some things Im starting to look at (mainly related to keyword research):
1/ Google Analytics stats for highest eCPM
2/ Approximate CPC averages using Google Adwords keyword tool
3/ Highest CTRs for various keywords - but obviously the keywords and landing pages need quite a few page impressions to get more accurate results (other, more SEO to find the true CTR for some pages).
4/ Skim through my pages to see if there are unrelated ads then include them in competitive ad filter.

Any other advance tips that people go through to maximize CTR and eCPM?

You can certainly increase CTR. Try to place ads above the fold of your website and you will get it. You can't change ecpm as it depends on the niche and quality of your website.

    I just wrote about this...

ad placement is key, look into google adsense placement based on click ratios. You can also research "hot spot" testing like from crazyegg. Most sites have specific ad placement to where people phase them out of their view, you have to change that up and make it NOT look like a common ad BUT being within tos.

Odd shaped boxes and backgrounds around the ads for one does wonders.

experiment with different ad formats (banner/text). For a particular location, I found my CTR increased manifold when I switched to only text ads.

hmm not exactly the feedback I was looking for. Placement, bleninding ads etc are all fairly basic...

Once you've done all this and feel you have the optimal ad positioning, then what do you do??

Surely someone out there does further keyword analysis etc...

When I say I look at eCPM, I didn't mean change it. By analyzing the eCPM you can find out what people are looking for, then check your own rankings for those keywords in various search engines. If it doesn't rank well, improve seo. If it does rank well, get more unique content related to those keywords.
