A sudden drop of traffic

    Can someone explain to me why this site has suddenly dropped its traffic from 2k+ visitors in September to 200+ this October?

    Anyone that knows how to look the code of the site if it is a spider friendly please take a look of it.

    I'm not the previous seo of this site that is why I can't explain to the client what happened to his site.

    What's the best way to regain its traffic and rank as well?

    First take the analytics of the website. Look at the sources from which traffic is achieved when there were tonns of traffic. Then look at the current position. This will aid you to find the reason. Following are some common reasons for sudden drop in traffic.

    1) Drop in serach engine rankings.
    2) Virus attack and displayed as "This site may harm your computer" in search engines.
    3) Resources fell drop like search engine ranked posts drop.

    Verifying the analytics is the best way to find.
