I find that the free Wordtracker GTrends keyword tool is very useful and convenient. It gives you both the search volume and competition of the keywords.

    freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends

    Enjoy!

I am pretty new at all this and have had a look at Market Samurai. The general opinion here is that Google Adwords keyword tool is sufficient. Is Market Samurai worth the money.

    Indeed,

    I also use the combination:

    Adwords Keyword Tool
    Keyword Research Pro
    Market Samurai

The first is available at no cost, KRP is a paid stand alone application that scrapes content from the Search Engines and Market Samurai does this as well with a growing list of extra features that are very useful indeed.
