Do you still think we ?

its a controversial topic... i am an indian but the things that hurt me the most is the "castesism", we are living in an independant country and everyone has a right to speak up, share, make friends but when it comes to marrige.....

we are all human!! not everyone is perfect...what if you fall in LOVE with someone from the other cast... simple answer is "there is nothing that you can do". i love india but what the feedback from the people is so categorised that they will consider you... not by your identity but through your origin..

now is this my free INDIA.

    pandit....

i am punjabi... is that my fault...

The problem is that parents are not willing to understand the same.....

even if you are earning well or not.. you need a biradari tag!

I hate ppls with this concept... and i am lucky that my parents are not like that.

Here are a couple of questions from an American who works around many Indians:

Is the attitude changing at all?
How would I know if two Indians are of a different caste?

I did listen to an American born Indian have many conversations with his mother last year about his singleness. They really pressured him to find a wife. It was somewhat entertaining as we could laugh with him about the situation. He got married two months ago with celebrations here and in two Indian cities.

Well I'm an Indian...and things are definitely changing here.
The thing is that you've to change them....just don't blame on casteism. That's past. We're the new generation and we are the future. It's we who have to bring a change.

I have Sikh girlfriend. Am a hindu. So what? I give a damn what our society thinks of it. It's my life and i'll decide about it. I definitely respect my parents, but once said and done, they respect my decision too.

If i wanna marry my gal, i'll do that without any objections from others. And you've to fight with your society so that they respect your decisions.

Your parents would never agree until they believe that what you're doing is right. Make them feel so ;)

    Lol! I know.
But if you got my point, then get this point in the girl's head too.

And is she stills disagrees, I'm afraid, the coversation ends here.
In that case she doesn't deserve your love and sacrifices :(

All the best. Hope she understands and fights for the same. God bless you! :)
