This is great news and it shows that the comments are not completely filtered out and its a good thing. Also hoping that you will keep this site in pure blog comments mode only for a longer period so we can see the true long term results on this... Also i cant wait to see the nofollow case studies later on Thanks pro.seods
yeah - I was thinking of keeping them in pure blog comment mode. But Wanted to do a case study of link wheel right now. I have my articles ready and the blogs I want them to. What do you guys want? Let me know pro-
his serp for keyword herbal recipes is up and down a lot, depending on where you are located. that's what I see so far. pro.seod, just curious, did you already start building links for your keyword herbal recipes before this experiement? also, I see there's still no signs of any serp of you other keyword, so I am curious why. Thanks
yeah, I know, I was only talking about his google serp for that keyword. and yes, I think so too, cuz herbal recipes don't really have much commercial value compare to other two keywords he has, that's my opinion, but I want to see if he actually started link building on herbal recipes way before the other two keywords.
yeah! I know other keywords are more competitive. But then it's tough to promote them with only do-follow blog commenting. I will definitely use it, but I was thinking of using link wheel (case study) or no-follow blog commenting for other keywords. I have done my homework well, and I was just hoping if I promoted all the keywords at the same time, nothing would be left for other case studies that I am planning to do with my sites. What do you think? It will be interesting to know, what other techniques can do as well. Don't you think so?
Yeah it would be great if you could also use other techniques, just i am worried if the impact from blogposting will affect the other techniques but if you want to do it now then don't let us stop you, however i think it is best to see if you can rank no1 from blog commenting only... But i am certainly interested in seeing the results of all kinds of experiments that you can do and any other techniques would be quite nice to see, and please notify me if you are starting another thread so i can subscribe to it as well =) Also social bookmarking i haven't tried yet and would be great to see case study based on that...
Previously, I never use to have any search engine traffic for my site. I have started seeing some traffic now. I think I have made quite a progress on my site. Other: twitter Referring: Do-follow blogs I had commented on. Also, I got a few clicks also coming up on my adsense.(1$ for 3 clicks.)
Your search result will probably be better improved iF the word herbal recipes was at the beginning of your title tag. I also noticed you target 2 keywords with 2 different links to the same page on your comments. Google takes a first link priority approach so on your 2nd link your anchor text is being ignored because only the first link will count towards your anchor text.
I think your ranking for the keyword you have specified has dropped to 59 Can you say something on this?
Been following your thread but i dont think blog commenting is going to work long term wise. Have a look at my thread : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1589343
The thing is that I am not doing do-follow blog commenting for the past few weeks. I was out for work and couldn't do it. I know the SERP has dropped.
The site is still around but hasn't been updated? An experiment that arrived at no conclusions? Why are they still chasing PR? Why is blog commenting still being touted as a link building tool? Why don't we learn from others mistakes? Why do we keep wasting our time going over the same old issues over and over again?
this is great and really helpful.. i'm sooo sharing this with friends who are also searching for ways to increase online popularity
The problem with blog commenting is that it is very hard to find high PR theme related blogs and if you do comment on it, there is no guarantee of getting approval. Instead of blog commenting, article submission is more helpful. First you get a link from article directory, second you can social bookmark it too which again will be counted as backlink. I consider blog commenting as a waste of time, yes it has benefits, but you have to work very hard for it. The toughest thing is to fing dofollow blogs.
