I think this sort of system is something that we (both advertisers and publishers) can develop over time to be very powerful.

The restrictions imposed by the high profile article directories are getting draconian to the point of discouraging new entries, and the lesser known, more liberal article directories are getting very spammy.

I think that having a way to post to sites maintained by individuals makes a lot of sense in that each site owner has a vested interest in maintaining the quality of their site yet understands that advertising value is the key to attracting quality content.

Keeping both the content creation and the content presentation in the hands of the IM community democratizes the process and gives us all more ability to utilize methods that serve our needs rather than lining the pockets of the big corporate article directories.

I really love the service. If there were a few more of them up and running exactly like this I would be signed up to them as well. I've looked around and found a few other things that work for me, such as linkvana, and article slingshot. AR adds another good tool into the mix.

I would like to see how many articles you submitted into the system, obviously with one article your not going to shoot into positions. I recommend people submitting at least 5 articles per month and then allowing a few weeks for everything to get crawled and indexed.

    SEO does not happen overnight.

You can copy your articles in notepad and just use the replace feature of notepad to replace all { to [ and } to ]. It will take less than a minute to do so then you can paste the articles in AR. Hope that helps.

    Couple questions...

    1) Lets say that I choose not to spin an article, how many sites does it get published on?

    2) If I submit an article today and it gets published on a website, what prevents an article I submit next week from being published on that same website?

    Thanks in advance

AR does work, I've had 20 pingbacks from my blog, so I know the article has been published at least 20 times, although in reality it's probably more than this, because I understand that you don't always get a pingback when an article is published.

If you don't spin your article, you will be sorely disappointed, because I don't think you'll get the article published to many blogs, if any. The whole point of the system is to spin your article so that each blog has a unique article.

To get the most out of the system I think you really need to mix up the URLs in the anchor text and if possible write about more than one niche. If you submit one article today and one next week and you choose the exact same category, I think you will end up with two articles on a lot of the same blogs.

Well said. There must be a better way for all of us to benefit from article marketing with out having to deal with the repercussion of spam.

This is a good tip. I try to find different niches to write in that relate to my websites in different ways (usually with a little creative thinking you can figure out ways to do this) --- this way you're really expanding your link profile and getting the most out of the system.

To be clear I'm not advocating posting articles in the wrong category - I'm saying figure out ways to write about your niche that encompass other niches.

For example, if you have a website about baseball you could write an article about a baseball video game so that your article goes out on sites about video games etc, but it's still something you can link back to your baseball site with...

It seems you've had good success with Linkvana. Have you done some actual measurements and test? After I saw your post I spent sometime reading reviews and all the non affiliate reviews I found didn't have so much good to say about Linkvana. What specific improvements have you seen, if any?

If you've tried Article ranks have you seen a measurable improvement in your sites rankings on SERPs?

I used LinkVana. I think it's way overpriced and it takes too much time. Unlike with article submission sites like Article Ranks where you spin just one article and it goes out on bunches of sites --- you have to write every single post individually. I also think the sites where the LV posts end up on are very unimpressive (and look very suspicious with all of the very short posts with a single link in each of them.)

I quit using it after a couple of months.

Not because it "didn't work" (I did find a lot of the LV posts in Google) but because it didn't seem to work nearly as efficiently (both as far as time and money) as the article distribution services.

I just want to post a screenshot of the distribution rate Articleranks is now able to deliver, as I saw the person who started the thread has low rates.

Anyhow it would also be good to see other members progress, remember to block out your titles to protect the network

I've got three articles which have been published 100+ times. Two of the articles were first distributed on October 10, the other on October 11. Acceptance rates are running at 98-100%

The system is doing a good job in this respect, although the real test is the effect on the SERPs and unfortunately I haven't had the chance to properly test it yet in isolation. I look forward to doing this within the next few weeks when I have more time to do some proper experiments.

I've seen some excellent results with AR...started using them in Aug. I'm happy with the amount of articles I get published and the backlinks they generate.

I'll post a screenshot in a little bit but was wondering what other article distribution site are out there....

Thanks to greggh...it's the first time I heard of Article Slingshot...I'll be checking them out soon!

Not too bad, the key here is spin the article as much as possible...AR help one of my sites rank up the SERP to the 4th position but I can't say AR was the main reason why it went up. I know it helped it get there though.

I'm actually testing AR on a new site with is a targeting a micro-niche...all I got pointing to it so far is a few Ezine and GoArticles links. I'll solely use AR to build links to my inner pages and basic directory submissions to my homepage...lets see what happens...i'll keep you guys updated
