Expert & Smart people Answer this Question!

Hello Friends,

I have a big question which i got in one interview of SEO.

Question:
If one site have 100 Unique Visitors per day then how many a month?
I have answered that it would be 3000+


The examiner told me that this answer is wrong!
and he dont want to answer this and i am still confused!!

Now you guys tell me what is the actual answer!!

Because he don't know the answer. Any sensible person will answer the same, if trend shows that a website attracts 300 unique visitors per day, obviously it will get around 100*30=3000 unique visitors per month. If he asked for total visitors then it could vary as some of the unique visitors will return to the website that will increase the toll of the total traffic (unique visitors(3000) + returning visitors(say 20 % of unique visitors return to the website) = Total traffic (3600))

but if there are 30 or 40% returning visitor per day then total visitor might be more then u answered....

so nobody can answer this question correctly!!

Obviously, you can't guess an exact number. I don't think what that examiner was expecting. Hope he had something else in his mind. Well, if you get some free time, make a call to him and ask the answer

- and my answer is the same - I think the exact wording of the question is needed to give a correct response

 

actually manish said the right answer but i think the question is wrong or the answer for this question is not proper until we know the exact website visit history!! like how many user it was getting before per month...!

 

Also, I suppose, there is something wrong with the question or might be there is some misunderstanding about the question as I do not think that a sensible interviewer would ask such a silly question.

actually .. when first time i got to know this question... i was confused too.. but he might want to know that what this guy(me) thinking about traffic!

so he might be checking my SEO Knowledge but using this question is looks dum to me!

 

Well the answers can be twisted in many ways. The examiner can expect many things as answers. Things worth considering in the question asked.

1) The month isn't mentioned. (Feb has less than 30 days).
2) Is he asking how many visitors a month or how many unique visitors a month.
3) He hasn't mentioned the word 'average' in the question which makes your answer of 3000+ wrong.
4) considering point 3, according to his question, the site can have 100 UVs a day and 5 on the next.
5) His question is debatable, the appropriate answer is 'Depends'.

What if the website was receiving the same 100 unique visitors each day (let's imagine it was a forum, for example)? Wouldn't the total visitors for the month be just 100?

Do Tracking stats regard a unique visitor as a new visitor IP for the day, or a new visitor IP since it started tracking?

 

Yes yogi Your Answer is write. Most of the interview examiner they don't know the what is exactly work of SEO. i have bad experience about the My X-office HR. She was asked me the seo interview Question for other guys.

 

You can't just say you get 100 UV's per day. These numbers fluctuate just as pageviews do.

 

sydzapp has given a good explanation. The person who interviewed you probably tried to confuse you just by saying "No" and not giving you any explanation.

 

as per question that your answer was perfect, examiner also want to know that answer was perfect, but the thing is that may be he accept some seo base answer.

 

May be that person expecting much from you... like it is not necessary that you are getting 100 visitor per day then it should be more then 100 at the second day because you are doing SEO for that site right, so you should answer double of that, at the month of end it should be double..
He is just confusing you..actually SEO expert do like that so Good Luck for next time
