Write down a list of things you're interested in, you should be able to fire out 10-15 things you are interested in really easily within a few minutes. Pick one of the items on the above list, and break it down into smaller niches. Select one of the niches from the above and buy a domain for it Throw up a wordpress blog and post every 1-2 days on it for a week so you can get some content. Do some SEO/backlink building to get search engines crawling your site while still posting every 1-2 days. After a month you should have about 30 pages on your website, now start searching around for affiliate programs that are very related to your niche and put an ad or two onto your site. If you can't find anything specific then go with an ad network like Google Adsense. Keep posting every 1-2 days. Every 2-3 days spend an hour searching for backlinks. If you follow that you'll make a few days after about 30-40 days and it will start to pickup and you'll eventually make sales every days. Example: Some of my interests: Anthropology, Travel, History, Web Programming, Family, and Martial Arts. I decide to go with Family, which I can easily break down to: Parenting, Babies, Pregnancy, Marriage, Relationships, Child Care, just to name a few. I decide to go with Pregnacy and start a website/blog about Pregnancy. I post useful information on pregnancy every day or two and then start link building. After a while I hop into CJ.com and find that Babys'R'Us is a merchant there, which I know is good because we bought half our baby crap from them. So I join their program and put their ads on my site, and then I go back to updating the site and building links. Once you've got the basics down you can move into article marketing, forums, blog commenting, and a bunch of other areas that work very well in addition to what you started with.
The ppc sites like neobux would really pay you , but take some time for you to earn $$'s. It is better to start up a blog or site with unique niche but high rank , then add some ads and banners for your referrals for ppc sites, that's it. you can get both earning from ads and aswell as referrals for PPC. if you need any help can pm me.
I will do the best I can to give you an example of how it would work. Before I do, let me say that Affiliate Marketing is very broad and there is A LOT and I mean A LOT to learn about it. Sometimes your success can depend on how your site/blog is set up, certain words you use, the colors of your site, keywords, the places you promote your site, the niche you are in...I could go on and on and on. It is best you either do a search online for some free information (there is tons out there), surf this forum, or go for products like Wealthy Affiliate, One week marketing, the 4 day money making blueprint, or the niche blogger. These are just a few products I have seen out there that are reputable. Okay so for the example: Say you love baking and decide to start a blog about it. You will want to target a specific group of people looking for products. Lets say you are really good at baking and decorating cakes. First you would want to go to Blogger and start a blog. Next, do some research on what people are looking for. Also look to see if there are affiliate programs out there that you can sell books or products within your niche. Sign up to become an affiliate for one of these sites. You can then post this on your blog. Say you find a group of people looking on how to decorate a birthday cake. You will go to the Google Adwords keyword tool and search for keywords that revolve around decorating a bday cake. You first want to make sure people are looking for this information. Say the Google adwords tool tells you that 3,000 people are searching for the phrase "how to decorate a birthday cake" every month. Then take this keyword and go to the Google search engine. In the search field (in quotes) type in "how to decorate a birthday cake". You want to make sure these results are under 10,000. For this example lets just say the phrase "how to decorate a birthday cake" has 5000 results. Now take that phrase "how to decorate a birthday cake" and make a blog post about it. In your post, use the keyword about 3 or 4 times. At the end of the post, maybe recommend to your reader that they may need the book "1001 ways to decorate a cake". ( I don't think this product exists, I made it up). If that reader clicks on the link and buys the book, you make a commission. Now I know that seems easy, but to get readers you need to have traffic. The first step in getting traffic was choosing the right keyword, which was "how to decorate a birthday cake". After you make your blog post, go to Ezine articles, Buzzle or an article site,and write an article about decorating birthday cakes. You will want to have the phrase "how to decorate a birthday cake" in your article a few times. Then link your article to your blog. If you write enough articles with the keyword listed, this will help you get traffic from the article itself and it will also help your blog rank high in the search engines. I know this is a lot of information ( I warned you). But you need to have a good understanding of all of the pieces of the puzzle and how they all fit together. You know if your just starting out and trying to get your feet wet perhaps starting a free blog at www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com would be the best place to set up a site. Then to earn money you could place Google Adsense ads on the blog. If your looking for affiliate programs I have some in my sig.
