Hi guys, is there any SE ranking difference in the domain extensions?

considering all else equal, would a .com rank higher than a .neT?

if there is a difference, isthere a ranking table anything to refer to?

This has been asked a million times - no ranking difference. That's why there's no ranking table ...

I will prefer .com rather then .net because people are very familier with .com

So I have run my website http://stocksonwallstreet.net/ for around 10 months now and I just acquired stocksonwallstreet.com. What is your opinion on switching it completely opposed to just forwarding the .com to the .net?

what you should do is a 301 from the .net to the .com, everything should go smoothly.. from a strictly Marketing perspective, the .com is more effective and more brandable, from a SEO perspective a Better click through rate equals better rankings, User behavior is a ranking factor, and since it has been proved that people tend to click more on .com's, it means that the .COM has an indirect SEO advantage over any other tld.

The extensions .com, .net, and .org really don't rank better than one another if all other things are the same.

the only diffrence in .com and .net is that .com is used for commercial and .net is for network...
for SERPs ranking you have to work on SEO... if .com extension is better for ranking then all the people's will buy only .com domain!!!!

So howd do you go about doing a 301 direct and will all the PR transfer for it along with all the SEO already on the .net. I mean will all my indexed pages and backlinks become inexistent if I were to switch.

a 301 means : Hello Google, this was my old websites and here is my new domain.

all your website "strength" and rankings will be transferred to the new URL in a few days to a few weeks, depending on many factors, you should see the old site slowly getting un-indexed and the new one (along with its inner links) appearing in the Google results.

and i am not saying that 301's are risk-free, there is always a risk. google is a weird creature, but in 99% of cases, 301's go smoothly

There is not rank difference. You can get famous with .info domain too all depend on your quallity of SEO.

A .com has a higher market worth than a .net, because .com means "commercial website". And the main reason for websites is: commercialization
