Try to check the big list presented by dvncfll01 because I have done it already. The tutorials are exceptionally worth seeing. Aside from that, Google is always there to help us. Welcome to the world of graphics.
Well I'm a visual learner. I kinda use youtube. they have many tutorials and they explain step by step. www.youtube.com/photoshopmama
Yes, I am also using youtube, not just looking for video tutorials about graphics but even other internet marketing stuff. There are many videos available, so all you have to do is just select, watch and learn.

Personally, you need to learn the photoshop interface as well as all photoshop tools on your own. I know... this sounds crazy but going off of a website learning what tools to what is virtually pointless. Photoshop has too many tools and options for you to just memorize. My suggestion would be to start messing around with photoshop on your own. Google "beginner photoshop tutorials" or "simple photoshop tutorials" and go step by step and follow the tutorials. This way you will learn what the tools do. If you read enough of these tutorials you will find that many of the same tools are used for every tutorial. Once you have done a few of the tutorials and you learn your way around photoshop, then begin following tutorials and throwing your own twist on the design. ------------------------- Why do this? well here is an example: many of the best designers in the world never took a graphics class. It's all self taught. you put someone that has taken 4 years of graphic design classes next to someone that has taught themselves photoshop and you will see a HUGE difference in skilll and creativity. when you read from a book about design you are just following what the book says, and thats it. when you design without a reference point your mind has to think and be creative. sorry for the essay...but at least try this method before you jump into monotone learning.
Your essay really makes sense. I have the same opinion with you. To anybody who wants to learn photoshop, try to explore with your own first and then search for good tutorials.
That is what I did at first. I had always used Macromedia Fireworks. Had Photoshop but found it very confusing. Layers mostly and how to select items to work with. Well after Fireworks was purchased by Adobe I decided to just push forward with Photoshop. I "messed" around watching some free tutorials. I had limited working knowledge of how to get around. I then started seeing the minisite designs going out. After years of only doing website design in Fireworks I moved to Photoshop. I found a great tutorial (paid for) on how to design minisites. Best money I have ever spent.
if you want to learn more photoshop type> Learn Photohop in google.com, many sites are created to learn photoshop.....
There are so many sites which teaches the fantastic world of Photoshop. You do not have to follow only one site. Graphics is an art so everyone has their own style. Go through some of the sites. The best way, and this is the way I started out, is just by playing with it to get used to the program and experiment with different options. I fnid that if you just jump to the tutorial, it can be overwhelming.
