    This is coz the seller might think that the buyer will fall into their trap if the buyer not checking the PR properly.

    LOL! A fake PR domain sold for $199 USD. I just can't believe ... well.... how can someone purchase such domain? where did he/she saw the PR for such domain? Is it possible to view the PR for such sites?

    Its not fake PR if the site has strong backlink.

    Fake pr value depends. If customer is novice then you can get some money. If customer is expert then it has no value.

    If the site has 'dummy' content but has a high pagerank, it could be in theory useful for someone who likes the domain and wants to develop it legitimately. The problem is that google is very finicky and once the content changes, the PR could drop instantly. This happens quite often when people transfer domains with high pageranks...
