The difference being they could not get over it "after" it was certified. That he fails to see a difference here is a bit baffling.

Don't forget the recounts, lawsuits, hanging chads, voter intent, etc...

Could you imagine having to recount with the guy who would look at the hanging chads and determine which chad was the voters intent and which wasn't of course solely based on the actual slot he was looking for?

And the biggest difference of all here is that the counting is not done yet. Kerry and Gore consisted of recounting after the fact.

In 23 not all the votes have been counted.

Doug Hoffman concedes for the 3rd time.

I was wrong, the tea baggers got to lose this race three times, not two. Good stuff. Take the show to Florida! Run Charlie Crist out of the Republican party!

I think you missed it (as usual) It isn't the losing that is bugging people it is the law breaking. At least that is all I saw. And if you try to attack me personally on this subject I don't even know much about the race and don't even care much about it as long as the law is being followed.

Probably won't hear much more about this particular race unless, they have to take a law breaker to court. If not, then the whole thing will probably be forgotten, unlike the Gore and Kerry issues of trying to steal an election by force.

BTW, who are the tea baggers you keep bringing up anyways? Isn't that term something that is from your lifestyle and not politics or people groups?

    1. HA-HA-HA. "law breaking." Oh my God. That's rich! Give me a freakin' break. This is nothing by whiny crybaby nonsense from the tea baggers. They lost. And it wasn't even particularly close, percentage wise. Nowhere near as close as Bush/Gore in Florida in 2000.

    2. Gore and Kerry trying to steal an election by force? Are you kidding me!? WTF?! Gore won the popular vote by 500,000 votes and was only denied a proper recount of Florida because of a political vote in the Supreme Court in favor of Bush.

    3. Who are the tea baggers? That's rich! Who do you think you're fooling? The tea baggers are the far right wing extremists that pushed the moderate Republican out of NY-23 and pushed the candidacy of a Glenn Beck loving loon (Doug Hoffman) in her place.

It's gold. I hope to see MUCH more like that through 2010 and especially 2012. If you follow it, you'll see guys like James Carville have WAY toned it down on Sarah Palin. Looking at the trends and the numbers, aside from any legislative actions taken by reps/senators/the president(which are bad enough on their own), Dems are literally fueling major losses in the upcoming elections with lunacy and arrogance. My only question is, how can I help throw some gasoline on that fire. I wish I could help promote the Rachel Madow Show

~ Hoffman had his chance - the republicans would be better off choosing someone else than 'throw gasoline on the fire'. Zibblu is right about the teabaggers and what better than one of their own leading the charge for a fourth loss.

Aww, you're not playing your character anymore? How cute.

    ---

And it looks like Hoffman losing three times wasn't enough for him, he wants to take a fourth loss in 2010. ;)

Awww.. you finally admit you don't have me on ignore? I think its presumptuous to predict any election 12 months in advance, but I do like the generalization and dehumanization in reference to candidates of the opposite party. Its exactly what Americans are looking for when making their selections. Regarding the 23rd, I will go out on a limb and predict a very short lived victory for Mr. Owens.

The district is traditionally conservative and the last election has the stink of skulduggery all over it. Scozzafava was certainly to the left of the Democratic candidate and could never have won a Primary had there been one. Hand selected by 4 people in a panel of 7, she later throws her endorsement to... the Democrats? You do an investigation and you'll see someone got paid.

I find it amazing Hoffman was able to round up the votes he did as a late coming third party unknown candidate. If he succeeds in getting the Republican party nomination in 2010, the chances of his failure in that district are slim.

I do have you (and most of the other right wingers here) on ignore, but I am sometimes tempted into clicking "view post" anyway... Just a sickness I have. It's sort of like why I watch Glenn Beck sometimes, I just can't help myself.

I always regret it though. It's such a waste of time to argue with people who don't think rationally and who don't care about facts.
