Best strategy for article submission?

    Hi,

I am in process of writing a few articles about our product that could be very helpful for our target audience. What is the best way to promote these articles? I see that there is article submission software, professionals that do the submission for you, and of course I could manually submit them myself. What has worked best for you?

    Regards,

    Wyatt

I recommend submitting to ezinearticles and only ezinearticles and not wasting your time with the others....I believe google will get you for duplicate content in more than one directory..

For me... Ezine has the best seo anyways

    Thats what i would do.

I've always submitted articles manually. When I used to have a Windows system, I used one of those submission software things once, but it never let me properly categorize my articles. After testing that piece of software, I decided it was probably easier to submit manually.

Submit 1/2 of your articles to the top 5-10 article directories, which in my opinion are:

    1: EzineArticles.com
    2: Buzzle.com
    3: ArticleDashboard.com
    4: Amazines.com
5: IdeaMarketers.com (because of their bidding system)

Submit the other half to the top 30-50 QUALITY article directories! These are article directories which possess high rankings, accept quality articles and have strict submission guidelines!

I use Automatic Article Submitter to make the process much quicker and easier and I highly recommend it.

By splitting up your submission techniques you’re getting the best of both worlds. You’re getting a handful of strong backlinks with the very limited submissions and you’re getting a higher quantity of backlinks with the “mass” submission to high-quality article directories. The best part is that you’re not relying on one simple technique! SE’s change their algorithms on a daily basis, so we really don’t know what will be effective in the future.

I agree. I think the best practice & rationale is:

    1) Give EzineArticles your VERY best, 1st version by hand, for fast, qualified traffic and greatest back link juice.
    2) Tweak the articles for the other top 4 or 5 article directories by hand for additional quality back links.
    3) Give a 3rd version to a article submission service, so you can get mega back links and trickle-in traffic over time.

Quality over quantity. Quality articles move to the top and pull traffic.

Google will not get you for duplicate content - that is a myth. The only time you may get penalized for duplicate content is if you have the same content on your own site more than once:) I have been submitting the EXACT same article to several article directories for years, and it works great for me.

I firmly believe in manual submission, because you know it is done correctly. Ezine Articles is definitely the best; submit your article there first, let it get indexed, then submit to 4 or 5 other high quality directories. This way, you are creating more backlinks to your site, and your article will be viewed by many other people, meaning you have a greater chance of other webmasters using your article on their site.

    Good luck!

I agree. Only submit to quality sites- sites with a page rank or 4 or better. I usually submit to Buzzle first. The reason being as they will not accept it if it is on any other site. It also does not take them nearly as long as Ezine Articles for review.
