well this is the 1st thing you need to decide.

    was the auction over at

    8:00:00 CET (my interpretation)

    or

    8:00.99 CET

we should have clarified before the end with all the interest in bidding.

if its the 1st, either me or Peyton got it.

if its the 2nd, then searchfordeal got it.

If I were you, I would sell it to payton. Because payton put in his bid at 7:59:XX for 3200, and avis03 put in a bid of 3002 after the clock struck 8:00:xx which was lower than the highest bid.

based on these facts, payton is the winner.

Again, you the seller has the complete right to do what you want.

    Thanks

    Lavee

    what i know is i put in a bid at $3,100 at XX:59. Peyton's was at $3,000 or $3,100.

he then edited the post to be $3,200. since DP (just like pretty much all forum software out there) does not show post edit time if its done within a minute or two, his edit to $3,200 may have take place at XX:59, or XX:00. we don't really know for sure.

maybe Discoverclips can check with the mods to see if that info is available.

the one thing that makes it hard when editing bids is that when a lot of bid are posted quickly like that, we can't be going back and reading old posts that were edited to see what the high bid is. each bid should be in a new post.

I'd go for Payton. Surely if an auction finishes at 18:00 (or whatever). The final bid prior to that time striking is the winner. A bid at 18:00 is too late, otherwise the auction finishes as 18:01

best way to do this is to extend the bidding, say an hour from the last bid....so that you avoid this type of sniper type bidding.
