Page Rank Jumped from 0 to 3

    Hey folks,

    I've been teaching myself SEO for the last 4 - 6 weeks or so and have learned some neat tricks on this board (among other places too).

    I had a page rank of zero, which was bugging the heck out of me, then checked a few days ago and it jumped immediately to three. :D

    VERY happy.

    Is that pretty normal to make such a jump - or is it a cause for Kudos??

    Not surprising at all, especially if your site has been linked to sites and blogs with high PR. Increasing PR is pretty easy. Boosting your SERP is another story.

    My PR from N/A to 2. INteresting fact , i dnt update it for a month as i was outstation.

    NOw again i turned my interest towards Blogging.

    This is wat we call Turning Point

    That is very good, congratulation. Not meaning to discourage you but, getting a PR and getting traffic and serp ranking are different thing altogether.

    Your PR can go down as well, so make sure you keep building links if you want to keep PR3.

    Getting PR is not so tough, but get SERP rank is not so easy. you have build lots of link with the anchor text, for which you want to rank on search engine.

    Have ever heard of Google Dance? I really don't know google policy on PR, my blog had PR 0 then it was showing 1 then again 0 when I checked after few days back it was 2. Now again I checked its back to 0 again:D:D . Just continue the white hat SEO.
