Does anyone do this? is it allowed? I was thinking of perhaps offering a free physical product to any customer who buys through my link. They could provide my with their order form as proof then I would send a free product to them. I know it will be extra hassle but if it builds my list and gets subscribers why not? Ie if commision is $30 then I would offer a free product up to the value of $8 to thank them for their purchase. (I would obviously have to be careful that I don't go overboard as I'll have to into account refunds) I feel a customer would get more excited at receiving a free item they can touch rather then a digital product and would be more likely to buy.... what do you think?
Bumping your own thread after 30 mins is not a good way to get attention. Don't do it, otherwise you'll start getting infractions from moderators here. Giving out products is done by a lot of people. However some affiliate programs/networks have problems with it (most notably CJ has a problem with it).
Ok Sir Christian. I don't use CJ. I only use clickbank. I've sent an e-mail to the vendor. I'm just waiting for a response from him as I don't want to be reported to clickbank. So would it be a good idea to inform every merchant whose products I want to promote and ask if it ok before I start my incentivised offers or am I ok with just informing clickbank, as it is a bit of a pain going through this process with every vendor.
I don't believe Clickbank cares if you run an incentive site. I'm pretty sure it's just the big networks like CJ.com and to a lesser extent Shareasale have problems with it. I really doubt clickbank will have problems with you doing this.
