A second account is very important to avoid getting un-targeted traffic and to avoid spamming/annoying your friends.

Add people and start advertising is not effective. You need to create groups and pages according to your niche and post updates and news regarding your website and interact with your users and people.

Its better to keep personal and business separately. But I am working with the same account, but not for ad.

I was going to ask if creating a fan page from your old account better. You answered my question, it's not worth getting your main account banned. I guess I'll will be creating a new account.

Trust me, they are banning many people on facebook for no reason.

They banned 3 of my accounts for ridiculous reason.

I am not doing more than i have to on facebook. I also have the largest tattoo page on facebook and it is official now, so i am not screwing any more.

Yes I did, but it's kinda interesting. I just set up a site and developed it for a few days and then forgot about it totally (not even monetize it in any way) In short, I've abandoned the site long ago but people still keep adding me as friends and subscribe to my you tube channel that I set up in these couples of days etc...I never update my site and my friends just getting more and more. But they are not IM who just add people randomly. All my subscribers and facebook friends are actually into the niche of my site...

I run a Guitar Social Network with a lot of video lessons. I added a "Follow Us on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube" link on my site and have had pretty good success with people joining us on Facebook.
I dont randomly just add friends to my website's Facebook page because I dont think that is too effective and annoying.
But what this allows me to do is get legitimate followers on my facebook page and I can update them as new videos are released. I noticed my repeat traffix really spikes when I send out an update.
So, yes Facebook advertising can be effective and ethical.
