You could always hire me ;) I have a pen. In fact I have a whole cup full of pens that is sitting about a foot away from me right now!

In all honesty one of the best ways to find good writers in your niche is to look for people who are already writing--on forums, on blogs, etc in your niche and ask if they would be interested in working with you. This way you can "vet" their writing style and talent before having to pay them anything. Of course, placing ads is certainly easier but then you'll have to deal with scads of "I rite gud 4 u" responses.

    Good luck!

Yes. You can also find them on Craigslist to find freelance writers. I am not sure you will get them on College campus ;)

I am a member of HubPages.com- a social site for writers. There are some fantastic writers here- professional quality. You are able to get a feel for who the writer is by looking at their profile.

You can see what topics they tend to write about and what genre. There are fluff writers, spammers, and "BTW I right cheep jest ax me" writers (to borrow a line), but overall, you can find good talent. Approach any writer you like with your request-- you may be pleasantly surprised! You can even find "ready to go content" if you want to purchase an article already written. Many of the writers also have a strong understanding of SEO as a bonus.

    My 2 cents :)

you might consider the *possibility* these talented medical student writers of your imagination are hiring people *like* me to do their reports.

if you have your topics that is enough. Anything else sounds suspiciously like consulting for development.

As bayareagreatthing said, you can find some great niche writers at hubpages. You have to contact them to know whether they are willing to write for you or not. But don't expect them to work for like 2 cents a word for you.

BTW, you can find all types of writers here on DP itself. You can find cheap writers that can work for $0.6 for 100 words and others for $5 for 100 words. You can find everything here, need not go anywhere else.

Overall I think it is hard to find quality writers, if you are on a budget. Try elance.com or any of the sites where writers bid on projects. Warrior Forum also seems to have a lot of good writers. You can also post an ad on a freelance site like Writers Weekly. You can also check out my site. I'm a veteran journalist and pretty awesome writer. :)

I think generally u can find good writers on any of those sites mentioned (elance, DP etc) as long as u review some of their old work.

I agree with grawat. A good writer will have samples available for you. References also can be helpful. That way, you can determine whether you are getting a good writer or a person who just thinks he write.

I don't ever look for a writer. I always write my own content, this gives me complete control over quality and its free. So during my free time I like to write a few articles for myself and then post them or try and sell them here.

It's one of the best things to ask for Ezine or any Article submission's directory id so that a writer can be checked whether his/her content is well enough to be read.

    This shud become a benchmark.
