I searched for different website ideas and atlast i got a nice idea, which is Debate site,,, i started my new project,,,,,and coding work is going on,,, i need some advice from you about the design, weather to be very complex like facebook or very simple like twitter, method to promote, i have planned to go with PPC,, and too interested to know other best ways of promoting debate sites,,,,,,
Go for simpler design coz it more user friendly. But do take notes that simpler design doesn't mean your site lack of function. Other than PPC,you should try CPM ads too coz its more cost efficient.
Simple designs are usually best, but it depends on a lot of factors. What is the url and niche? This may help give us a better understanding of what you are going after.

Try to find a forum that specializes in the debate you're interested in, that's a good way to promote your site.
If you are into Affiliate Products? then the best way to go is, finding a Good Affiliate Product that Sells and then starting a Google Adsense campaign to Sell that Product. Whatever the idea is, put the advertising plans aside until the website is up and running well with a fairly decent amount of generated traffic. No PPC or CPM will earn you anything worth talking about until your site counts thousands of quality visitors monthly. And if you put up a banner too early, chances are that it will only drive people away.
i too agree, without content it is difficult to promote, i am going to spend some days for adding content by myself,, i have planned not to place any ads for first 6 months, then i start with 1 ad
Make simple design and fast loading sites. Just using ad-teks not banner, and if you using wordpress, try to find seo plugins first.
Keep it simple stupid (as they say). A nice simple, easy to use site that will load quickly would be your best bet.
