Bought a really cheap shared hosting package from them after opening a support ticket and receiving a confirmation that they will be able to migrate one of my 1 page topsite free of cost using cpanel backup. Opened up a support ticket to complete the migration. 24 hours later...nothing 48 hours ....received a response that ticket has been escalated to a senior tech. 72 hours.....nothing 96 hours...received response from vice president or some like that he himself is looking it. 108 hours....received response site has been set up and is running. Crap. Site was not working at all. Asked them to fix it. 120 hours.... still nothing. Finally on 7th day I decided enough is enough and bought hosting elsewhere, was up and running in 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asked them why they could not get it goinf. Got rude reply that if I thought their tech support is incompetent I had better done it myself. Asked for refund. Sorry we dont offer refunds was the reply. This was within 10 days of making the payment Almost 2 months later decided to use the web space if I could....hmmmm...the server is down. Opened upa support ticket. 24 hours later...no response 72 hours ....still nothing. Wrote back to them :when the f#@$ will you respond? Got the reply next day....account has been terminated Never got the money back and leant a very valuable lesson not to look for cheap hosts in future.
Yeah!! You can better rent a website with $20.00 a year then $2.00 a year. Thats right. And in The Netherlands you got a KvK / BTW number and in belgium (like me) you must have a BTW number only. Do you need here a number or not?
Hi Buddy I would advise you to open a dispute on paypal, nowadays many Webhosting company are run by KIDS! and they are here to steal people money! I have face the same thing like you when i was host by santrex 1 year ago, that's why i prefer to have my own server so that you don't have to depend on webhosting company who overload their server
You waited 7 days before moving your sites? Gotta admit I would have been out of there in less than one if I hadn't gotten a response.
The problem is that scam artists know very well that paypal won't offer refunds on non-tangible goods. So they always label these as non tangible. I too have decided to go for server of my own. Of course there are very good hosts out there for shared hosting as well, it s just that dirt cheap sometimes are not even dirt cheap...they are just dirt
Similiar Situation happened to me with hostfever. I bought a year package until recently december my site went offline. I contacted them though a ticket. Next day they ban my ip. My Pc won't go to hostfever.com anymore. I have to use another pc to go to the website. When i login to my account they ban my ip agin There money robbers
