Hi I am about to create my own pet website the name is Impeccable Pets. I don't have any of the site done yet as I want to design it around the logo if possible. I will explain the look I am going for with the site and the type of products I plan to stock so hopefully that will give you an idea of the type of logo that will fit. The site will eventually (hopefully cater to many different types of pets), so a logo dedicated to a dog or a cat etc will not work. The background colour I have in mind at present is Black/Dark Grey but I may change my mind, so it must work on a White or lighter background also. I plan to give the site a real upmarket/posh feel to it, therefore the logo needs to reflect this, I want sophicated glamour whilst still looking professional. I hope to stock designer pet clothes and products and also sell some of my own custom designs at some stage, so there will be a bit of sparkle and bling, but again sophicated not OTT, more diamante and rhinestones as opposed to glitter and sequins (you get my drift) I DON'T WANT, anthing cartoony or cliparty looking, plain text headers etc. Again if I could sum up what I want it would be highend sophicated glamour, if that helps any Thanks Dee PS I may possibly extend the deadline if I haven't found a design I like by then, I will pay the winner the $25 via PayPal. I would also require the PDS file.
If you have read this thread previously and found it hard to come up with an idea (as was pointed out to me in another thread), I wasn't implying that a dog and a cat couldn't be used together (just for example), I just don't want it limited to one particular pet. Hope that helps and that some of you will at least give the contest a try I really hope to give the job to someone of DP, but if I have no entries soon I will have to post elsewhere. Thanks Dee
I have had a couple of PM's which I do appreciate, however please can I ask again that you post your entries directly in the thread, I just think that way it's fairer on everyone who decides to enter
Do you have any sophicated glamour examples ? I am not really familiar with that term, so I can't design. Please show some examples of logos you do like.
Hi Thank you for the entries so far If I can give honest feedback: Number 1 is just text. Number 2 is cartoony which is not what I want Number 3 doesn't really relate to pets. Number 4 I like the belt, but the main focus is the text. I will do as requested above and look for some logos that I like (I did look but didn't find anything that really stood out, but I will look again), hopefully seeing the sort of thing I like will help. Thanks to all the entrants so far Will post back soon. Dee
Entry 5, thanks but again it mainly focuses on the text. Okay I found a logo that I quite like, "http://www.logodesign-webdesign.com/animal_logo_design_new2.jpg" I don't want a logo like someone elses but it does show you the kind of thing I like. I also like Silver logos I think they can look really classy. Another idea which may help (don't know) I mentioned the words sparkle and bling in another thread regarding a domain and someone said you could "bling" the dog and "sparkle" the cat. That does sounds cool, but it would have to be elegant not glittery and tacky. I want more of a delicate font, more girlie, something similar to this: "http://prideandjoydogcouture.co.uk/?gclid=CNuZ57-IoJ4CFYwA4wodNBQVlg" Hope that helps Dee I will extent the contest to allow people enough time to add an entry or possibly have another go.
you have given the image like a emblem... do want us to do like a emblem or just with text and logo....
Hi I do like the whole overall look of that one, and I don't feel it would work without the emblem in that particular design. But please just use that as the type of think I like, as I said I want my design to be unique as branding is important, so I don't want something that looks like anyone elses, but I do want a "logo" by that I mean I don't just want a picture with some text next to it, hense why I used that one as an example. Hope that gives a clearer picture. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask
