Use the Firefox SEO tools add on and then click enable highlighting of nofollow links.

As you visit different sites those that are no follow will show links highlighted in red....

While choosing top article directories consider the following things:

1. Do-follow or no-follow
2. Highest Pagerank
3. Higest Traffic
4. Highest Alexa ranking.

Also my most favorite no-follow article directory is Articlesbase which helps me get quickly to the 1st page of Google.

Thanks for everyones answer... I use articlebase too, they are a lot less strict than Ezine, but as you said, they are nofollow ... No worries though, they are bringing decent traffic to my sites...

@Paul -- You can use nofollow plugin for Firefox... I think thats what they are talking about... I just got it, and it works very very good... Just google "nofollow firefox plugin" and you should be able to find it.

The only problem I found is the Red color destroys the look of websites and blog and hinders seeing things at time...

I only use it when hunting links.
