Why the hell we are fighting?? Can't we get unite?

Hi!

I am just sick of people both (Indians and Pakistanis) bashing each other in various threads and posts.

Indians claims Pakistanis are sending terrorists to their countries to destroy peace in their nation and blah blah.

While Pakistanis claims it is these Indians who are training terrorists in Taliban and sending them over to Pakistan to insult them and other blah blah.

Why can't we live in peace?
Why can't we get unite?

Why can't we understand it was divide and rule policy who let us to fight with each other in 1947 and the f*ck we are still fighting on the same sh*t?

It was Britishers who sow the seeds of hatred in our hearts against each other..

Why the f*ck we can't understand and keep on fighting again and again?

Why can't we trust each others?

I am Indian by nationality and have many Muslim friends (even my best friend who is more than a brother for is Muslim). I have many Pakistani friends with whom I share my life and my everything.

If I can live happily and peacefully with them then

Why can't you??

I am sick of you guys.

Isn't the time to unite and stop that fighting? Its a forum, keep it clean atleast.

Very good post. Sadly until DP gets tough on the people that repeatedly post pointless threads designed to spread their personal hatred I don't see any likelihood of it happening. This part of the forum is tainted by the presence of professional trolls who are at DP for solely to do that... inflame P&R threads while they grind their single-issue axes. If you look at the worst offenders they seldom post in any working forums. Several have thousands of posts, but almost never leave P&R.

That goes entirely against the purpose of having P&R forum. This is supposed to be a place where people involved in the working forums kick back on a break and discuss events & issues. Instead it has been taken over by assholes that have no interest in what DP is here for... to provide a place for web professionals to work, learn, and contribute their knowledge to others in their respective internet field.

It would be nice to see the moderators take a look at those threads and then at the profiles of the worst actors. Those that seldom if ever make any attempt at useful contributions in DP's working threads do not deserve the privilege of being in the P&R forums with actual web professionals.

Ban the P&R based trolls and send them back to the AOL chatrooms they belong in. That is a natural function of being a mod and it isnt the least bit heavy handed. P&R forum should be for the members, not people here just to piss members off with their nasty hateful rhetoric.

Censor no one, listen to all opposing views with an open mind.

Do not think of it as "us" and "them," only We.

Fight ignorance, mis-truths, and lies wherever they stand; no matter if it comes from a radical lunatic or a patriotic soldier. Lies have no place in our increasingly global society with political borders starting to dissolve in favor of socio-economic ones.

India and Pakistan need to drop their love of religion while maintaining the lessons on how to conduct oneself with one's neighbors.

The people, especially the youth, are changing dramatically across the globe. They understand that they are exactly the same as those halfway around the world. This, with increased free communication, will cause the youth to grow into more cognitive adults who will forsake the prejudices of their fathers and forefathers.

Things might get worse before they get better, but the chance of success has never been greater.

 

Us = people who want to live and not be attacked, killed or harassed for no reason
Them = those who want to kill, attack or harass the "us" because they don't like the "us" or were taught by birth to kill "us"

I supposed anyone being bombed by the USA for no reason could say 'we' are "us" - USA are "them"

Things really are not as simple as the news portray them, they portray news as good for us, bad for them. Us against them, them against us.

You will find sooner or later that things are never as simple as they are portrayed in a 60 sec news segment.

 

The Weapon manufacturers won't let that happen.. like ever.

I'm a firm believer that beer can unite anyone.

Example, Bears and Packers fans. Wisconsin Drivers and Illinois drivers. Just one of many annoying rivalries of hatred and disdain you can find on this or any other part of the known world.

Years of fighting, bitching, bickering and senseless attacks on one another.

The difference? We can still sit down and have a beer with one another. We can get past our differences and idiosyncrasies without resorting to violence. We do it with cold frosty suds.

Maybe if Pakistani and Indian people did the same we could go back to simply taunting opposing teams and flipping the bird on the freeway!

I don't see that happening in this century atleast. It was never the British who sowed the seeds of hatred. It was a handful of Muslim leaders including Pakistan's "father of the nation" who placed their own interests over the interests of the community at large. Sectarian Politics always does the same thing - Promotes hatred.

Just when it was clear that India was going to get independence a few leaders turned a section of Indian Muslims against the nation and started demanding their own state...the only way to get it done was to spread violence and promote Hindu-Muslim riots to force the British and Congress to give in.

I must ask this question to all Pakistanis that claim that we can live in harmony: If you were so willing to live in harmony why did you ask for a separate nation to begin with when their was no discrimination against Muslims of any kind?

Look at things now - 60 years later. The Muslims who are a minority India (160 million) live in a "Democratic Country" have more rights and live better, non-violent lives (and they can use PayPal too) than the 170 million Pakistani Muslims who live in an "Islamic Country".

I'm sure people from Pakistan (atleast most of them) are not bad people.... but suffer because their leaders (always) made bad decisions for self-interest, filled them with hatred against Indians and Hindu's and unfortunately you still elect them and support them. I don't see all that changing ever and if it's so Pakistan will soon go the way of Afghanistan. Terrorism is already getting out of hand in Pakistan, soon NATO forces and India will have to go in stop it themselves....Millions of people will be slain or have their livelihood destroyed as a result of the war...all because you all chose all the wrong leaders...who made all the wrong choices.

Yes I am, there has never been any discrimination against Muslims in India, that's why Muslims in India are happier than Muslims in Pakistan which is a "Muslim Country" but still Muslims kill Muslims everyday.

 

how can you say that ?

 

Muslims in India have more rights - No man can divorce his wife just by saying the word 3 times, No man can beat his wife if she refuses sex, no women can be forced to stay covered in a Burqa.

Muslims in India (or anyone for that matter) have more opportunities to lead an economically better life.

Muslims in India have a right to vote and get there voice heard as we live in a Democracy since 60 years.

Anyone in India doesn't have to be afraid of dying in a Blast everyday.

Now compare this to the state of Muslims in your "Islamic Country".
