I will store everything in my hard disk or pen drive. If i need to use that urgently via Internet, I will use Team Viewer. A software that works exceedingly well at 256kbps.
Its just not officially launched but I am not going to trust the internet with my PC. hmm.. Total manipulation of the Chrome OS and browser. lol.. p/s- what are you talking about with compiling the source code? Its just a few clicks of install.
I think you guys really need to understand the concept of google chrome OS http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-chrome-os/ hope this helps
Exactly, it is not an official OS, it has yet to be built. Um, anyone who uses web based apps like Gmail, Ymail, flickr, picasa web, Docs etc etc, already does. Having a copy in the cloud as well as on your local drive is a good idea, which the Chrome OS will be able to do. Chrome OS is not meant to replace PC's, There is a pretty good chance that it will not even support any desktop apps at all. Its main use will be as a browser for surfing the web and running web based apps, but a browser that has its own OS that can be online in under 10 seconds from pressing the power button. It will also be free (edit: or next to free)! meaning people do not need to buy and rely on bulky expensive OS's if all they want to do is get on the net. If they want to do more than get on the net, then they can just go out and buy an OS. I plan to have both, boot to Chrome when I want to check my mail and surf, boot to win7 when I need to work in PS or Liquid (video editing). hardware support, codec support, flexibility, security, trimming the fat, tuning it up, making it work properly etc etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JyFbF7QFlY Cheers James
Chrome OS is going to be BIG, MS costs too much compared to zero cost / better platform. Free equals sticking it on your main comp, old laptop, sisters laptop, mothers comp etc whatever. And as it is made by Google you know it'll be good
