Craigslist Headaches--- Getting Flagged--Ghosted

Here is my situation.

I have been an internet seller for many things for a while now on CL. I sell items for people and keep a commission. Most items are 30k and above, ill keep 10 percent of sale. I do not need to post 100 ads a day. What i need is to just have up 1 live ad with a ton of keywords. But not only does that get me flagged often, but now CL knows what im up to and my 5 accounts are pretty much getting ghosted the second i throw in a keyword.
When keywords are in place, and ad is active, i can make sales in 1 day- 1 week vs. never selling anything. The truth is i depend on CL too much, now im pretty much sitting still.
At this point i dont know what to do. It does not make sense to pay an auto poster. What is my best route in this situation? Posting 100 ads a day will not make what im selling anymore effective, its all about target market keywords. thank you

 

Sounds like you need to vary your ads some in order to keep from the ghosting issues. I might try misspelling your keywords for starters.

Keywrod = Keyword

The other alternative would be to post your ad without keywords and after an hour or so, edit the ad to have your keywords in there.

keywrod instead of keyword or make all of my "keywords" spelled scrambled ?

I'd give that a run for starters. I would also not have all the keywords in the same order every time.

 

Im thinking of outsourcing it at this point. My focus needs to be on gaining customers not making the listings. I have always said be good at one thing, im never going tot be the best at CL listings due to the ever changing ways of CL. I should just pay someone (expert) who will most likely be way more effective at it which will = more dollars for me, less stress, and expanding on the gross revenue side.

 

Typically when you outsource it you have to provide the copy and all the poster does is copy and paste. If you want to pm me a couple of your ads, I'll take a look and see if I can offer you something real specific for you that will make your life easier.

I post hundreds of ads weekly, all manually, for my sites and I have a pretty good handle on CL things.

Unfortunately when the pond is all fished out you have to find a new pond to fish in or find another hobby. If Craigs approved of what you are doing then this wouldn't be a problem. Turns out it's their site so they make the rules.

 

Why don't you try following the rules?

 

I would suggest going the outsourcer route, of course make sure that they know what they're doing and can actually post ads up on CL without getting ghosted. If you have static IP on your internet connection and CL has already started ghosting your ads, it'll be a long and potentially expensive battle to outsmart them in putting your ads up again.

definetly you need to change the titles and keywords. I was posting 10 adds a day before and I had the best results when I would switch the titles and wording just get a little creative with your writing and it gets allot easier the more you do it.

 

I hear a lot of great things about using USfreeads instead of Craigslist. USfreeads quickly Google indexes you, too. They have small membership fee, but it may be just the right new territory to start applying all your same CL ads.

There are a couple of other biggies (free advertising) sites, but I can't recall their names right now. Google and see if you can find 2 or 3 strong alternates to replace CL.

 

why not just use image ads with the keyword in it?

could you bring people to the ad without typing in the keyword?

What the hell are you trying to sell?

You said you are selling items valued at $30,000+ and make a 10% commission? What the hell could you possibly sell for that?

-Real Estate - realtors make 2-4%, not 10.

-Financial - they tend to pay out a flat fee like $100/lead, not 10% of the amount financed.

-Cars - it'd have to be high end cars, and even then I believe car sales people make like 5% as the standard rate.

So what the hell are you trying to sell that costs $30,000+ with that commission rate?

BOTH Craigslist and Craig are retarded. That SOB is ghosting my ads "at will" now.. Time to change IP and phone number... again.

 

US Free Ads is way overrated. The traffic there is terrible, and can't even match CL. I think BackPage is probably better.
