Hi, I have a quick question regarding the Anchor Text in a backlink from a site. The question revolves around the actual text. Are you, in essense, tageting each word in the anchor text or is it JUST the phrase? E.g - Men's Fishing Bait USA - Sitename Are you in theory going to rank higher for each of those words individually such as a) Sitename b) Men's Bait c) USA Fishing Bait Thanks so much! P:S - Google, from what I read maxes out at 55 Chars of Anchor text, are we best served using all 55 Characters?
You should target the required phrase in anchor text . example you should target Men's Fishing Bait USA for your site which will provide best results.
Its the individual words to rank for, and combinations of those. USA Fishing USA Fishing Bait Fishing USA So this could theoretically be counted as a link juice for all of these keyword phrases...
i think best way is use your keyword in anchor text it will be give you some help for getting good SERP!!!
It is okay to put the target keywords in a key phrase, but i preferred to use only the keywords as the anchor text..
This is the way to. Depending on how many links you have, you may end up ranking for the word "USA" and "fishing" by themselves.
Thank you. This is what i assumed. I don't rank well for my site name and wish to add it to my keywords I.e - Men's Fishing Bait USA - FishingShop. I didn't, however, wish it to be necessary for people to have to include the store, fishingshop in the search.
People, this was NEVER a question about whether it was or wasn't good to have keywords in the anchor text. Of course that's good. The question was simply whether i could rank for individual words from the phrase such as USA, Fishing, USA Bait, or if it would only give me decent serps for the WHOLE phrase.
