more than 3000 pages of my website www.haiwin-necktie.com are got listed in google.however there are only 20-30 unique visitors /day. Really want to know how to promote this website? thanks
Just a few things I noticed. A) Do not use the word TIE so much in keyword and description meta tags. Trust me, Google is smart enough to figure out your site is about ties, without keyword overload, it's just too much. B) Use full sentences in description meta tag, it looks like you have two keyword tags. C) products need more text-based content, if I were Google, I wouldn't send visitors to pages that are basically empty. D) Your site is a store... Try PPC advertisement you will have a lot of luck there.
thanks. i will add some content to products. PPC is too costly and there has no one of vistiors from PPC placed order on my website.
Keep experimenting with the ads for PPC, the whole idea behind PPC is to return more $ than you invest into it. If it's not working, then something else is wrong. Make your website more clean (not to be disrespectful, but it could use some work in the layout department) Maybe try using Amazon API ? Good luck!
I think your site may be black listed. Because, I have faced same problem. If it is not then you should focus on OFF-PAGE Optimization such as article submission, directory submission, social bookmarking, forum posting, comment posting etc.
If you want to get more traffic.. then try to follow these below steps.. - first of take daily news or link which is insert into your websites.. - secondly take url of that and doing social bookmarking of that links.. - third doing forum posting...
the key is to build backlinks from other sites by do follow blogging and forum posting, article submission and reciporcal link exchanges. Also avoid duplicate content by posting content taken from article sites. In addition you can start by adding a signature link to all your posts here at DP forums. DP forums gets crawl by google regularly and as such it will pick up your links to your pages more quickly.
I don't know if it works for everyone but it does work. The key is to target specific niches and not go broad term unless you are branding your site. So instead of targeting "toasters" you might target "toasters under $10". The traffic will be much less but the people that do come are very targeted people that know what they are looking for. Also using negative keywords in your campaign is crucial. If you are selling something you do not want people clicking your adds when they searched for "free something" So "free" would be added to your list of negative keywords. It takes some learning and practice to keep from wasting your money but adwords can bring in nice business. There are a lot of good training videos on youtube for this.
i don't understand why people think press release is so important.. I never did it for my website and i get around 60,000 unique visit every month. with just 3 months only.. Youtube is your best friends, And google is your girlfriend. Just spent time with them. Video submision will help you start.
I agree with Webwaster, your site could use an on-site SEO overhaul. This means more text, alt tags in images, better title and descriptions, etc... You want to keep your categories to what they are and not keep trying to promote all types of ties on every page. Your home page title might get better results with something like: <title>Buy Neckties: Silk Ties | Designer | Florals | Stripes | Solids</title> And your description tag might go like this: Shop for quality neckties by a variety of designers such as Roberto Villini, Paul Smith, Towergem, and more. Worldwide shipping available. Also your very first image on the site should have the alt text of neckties. Your chat/help feature does not work if you do not have skype. There are some on-site chats that work well. http://www.craftysyntax.com/ There is a lot more that could be done but those are basics. Good Luck PS: I think people rave about press releases because of the authority backlinks. It doesn't hurt to release them but I've never seen anything significant from them.
