Useful advice for PayPal users. Many PayPal users are not aware of the following potential problem that raises its head when they change their CC or Bank account details if they have subscriptions running. When you set up a subscription payment PayPal attaches that subscription not to your account but to the CC or Bank Account that you have registered.. Therefor if you do not follow the correct procedure when you cancel one CC/Bank account and add another all subscriptions attached to that CC/Bank account will be terminated. The correct way to do it to prevent this happening is as follows. Add the new CC/Bank Account and get it verified. Once verified set it as the default. go to "my account" select the from/to search option. set the from date to a date prior to the date you stared your first subscription (if not sure then change the year to say 2005 or the year you started using PayPal. on more filters select Subscriptions and agreements then select subscriptions. click on show. This will give you a list of subscriptions. where you see Active against a subscription click on details. you will see subscription funding source (direct debit and CC). click on the drop down and select the new CC/Bank Account. Click on update button. Repeat this for all Active subscriptions. once you have completed updating all the subscriptions then go back to "my account" and then on the profile drop down select the add/remove CC (or Bank Account) as appropriate and remove the old CC/Bank Account. If your CC has been canceled because it was stolen/compromised then remember that you need to add your new card to your PayPal account as soon as possible. If you forget then PayPal will make 3 attempts to do the subscription payment, and cancel the subscription if it fails on the third attempt. So if you get a payment failed notice do the following As Seller contact your client and make sure they are aware that the subscription failed and if they say they canceled the card as it was compromised, then advise them how to attach the new one to the subscription before the third try. Remember to be nice about it, they may still be upset from their experience. So show understaning. As Buyer. log into your account and get things resolved before the third try. To prevent you losing the service you are paying for.
Not sure of the relevance of your question, but the answer is no, but I have been using them for many years, without any problems.
No, relevance, just interested cause you seem to know allot about them. And you look like you might had work for them. That is your pic in the avatar? Just cautious, thats all.
Yes my Branding Photo (not a recent one) - I have been using it for many years, and my profile info is also real information. I run a legal business and have nothing to hide. my better known online name is Bjantiques.
I have no experience in using PP with VCC, and I only answer questions that I know the answer to. The last thing I want to do is give bad information unlike some here that will just guess an answer, as I have seen them do in many threads.
Very good info. I had almost lost $200 when i missed doing this... But the good company (www.blushark.org) refunded my old card and let me pay for the product using my new card when i let them know that i had made an error...
