@Semy20logo: looks ok, but the logo doesn't really mean anything to me. To Everyone: What I really want to see from you guys - look at the hat above. As you know when you are a one man team - you wear many hats. As the avatar what would be cool is a hat that will be used as "ranking" in the community. It will also need to be able to fit a "expertise type" mini logo in itself -- this is also what could work in the splash screen here are the EXPERTISE (Icon for the hat in brackets) [li]Entrepreneur (light bulb)[/li] [li]Tech guy (gear)[/li] [li]Artist (paint brush)[/li] [li]Attorney (justice scale)[/li] [li]Investor (dollar signs)[/li] [li]Accountant (calculator)[/li] [li] ... open to suggestions ... [/li] And it will have the following colors: White, Yellow, Blue, Brown and Black... sort of like a ranking as in Karate: I will pay extra for anyone who wants to do the complete vector logos that looks good as an icon in 128x128, 64x64, 32x32, 16x16 with all 5 colors and the described mini logos inside.
@pheonix89: Please post your concepts here. I do appreciate your hard work. (this is the last revision) It seems to me that this white man has been rendered in 3D, and unless you can replicate the shading style of the original guy with different colors, we should stop for now. This shade is just a radial gradient, what you want is the shades to go around the trousers, use some feather there... I love the white guy concept, I am just not sure the work form the first concept is completely original.
Could I see this exact heart behind the Biz where the tie replaces the "i" letter? (just put behind and remove the letter "i") Don't worry I will be fair to everyone, if you use someone else's idea I will still pay the original concept author.
So far I like the logos from phoenix. However I am afraid that his work may not be original. The guy looks awfully close to this one, and he does not seem to be able to take it to the next level. http://www.fotolia.com/id/4811875 I have paid him $20 for the persistence and hard work. But come on guys, I want original work, if I wanted to slap together clipart I would've gone to these sites and paid it there. Beautiful! I quite like that second version! I suppose some cosmetic ideas would be to narrow down the Hobby letters a bit... and you know what that Heart there with the BiZ could also become the square avatar... I like it! I am going to be honest - not married to it, but I really like it.
One more note... Can you make the BiZ letters be it's own layer? and have all 3 letters cast the same shadow on the heart? Also want to see them have black outline as well as black letters with white outline... (if you are bored and got nothing else to do - these are just cosmetic changes anyways)
@Biruhato: Thank you for your entry! My heart is currently settled on the heart UPDATE: It is not too late! Yes I am paying for the Heart + Tie version to be completed. However if somebody comes up with something better I will pay them too. I want you all to collaborate and not be afraid of your ideas being stolen. I will pay if your idea was used (as is the case with ing_pacz) CURRENT RESULTS: As I said I am very fair and generous person. sikka2010 has won $20 for the Avatar and is currently working on the logo for another $30 guaranteed. phoenix89 has won $20 for the efforts and the vector image. I am paying another $5 to ing_pacz because he was the first to put the tie in the BiZ. $10 if he lets me own the image in case I want to use it down the road. I have somebody working on the multi-color hats for $30. I will post a separate contest for the community splash screen since I don't think anyone has started on it yet. Cheers!
