    Hi All the forum members!
I am here to share a question and hope you all guys are gonna help me!
My question is what backlinks are most usefull or effective in making any website rank in search engines. Well I am quite familier with do follow, relevant theme, domain age and pr but still not able to create comprehensive result doing this all.

What do you think is the best way to create effective links.

    Please help!

Just a correction to your knowledge: PR is not at all important now - they are over.

So getting niche related backlinks are important but i would suggest getting niche related and high traffic site backlinks are much more of importance in search engine ranking as well as your traffic.

    Hope this helps...

Sorry, I’m not agreeing with you. PR is still important to make your website crawl by Google and to make a good PR you should have good back link.

there is a lasting argument over what is best.
I have seen some great results with authority, non related links in the past.
Judging by most of my competition and those of the clients I have worked for, .gov then .edu seem to have the greatest impact in overall one on one types of links.

Always in the larger niches the top dogs have several if not many .edu links, though their total backlink amount may be much less than some of the lower SERPs for that specific keyword.

I believe it is all about authority, often times related or not. (though related is certainly better)

    my 2 cents

That's what I heard too, several times.
I guess in all reality it does give a vague visual of our personal accomplishments with the site though I agree traffic rules.
Sometimes when you are nowhere to be found in the serps the green light in the toolbar acts as a nod from god.........errr... I mean Google and gives hope to us I think. ;)

But PR does not equate to traffic or sales......hell, traffic doesn't even equate to sales..

The most powerful backlinks are on high quality, very relevant sites with strong PR and a low number of outbound links.

I know if you create a wordpress blog and put relvant content and then use lsi algo to point a link back to a page on your site that is relevant then you will move up higher in the SERP. I use blogger, wordpress , clickconversion 7 free blogs on different C Class network, squidoo and others.

That's a link wheel. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide much benifit unless your keyphrase is very low volumne and not competitive.

In order for a link wheel to be effective helping your position on a competitive key phase, you need to promote each spoke.

To create effective back link you have to target niche or relative to niche. .edu and .gov backlinks considered as most powerful and trusted backlink.

Sort of correct. However if you did some research you would find most links create a spoke and hub effect.

I have a PR 5 hubpage that helps with indexing. (used to be nice for the PR till they cowered at googles stupid mantra)

The 'hub' is typically the center of a link wheel, your main target.

The spokes are the sites that link to your main site.

If you mean that you have a pr5 'spoke' that links to your site, the hub, then absolutely it will help. Any time you have a high quality, relevant sites wiht strong PR and few outbound links it will help, regardless of whether or not it's in your 'link wheel'.

However, most link wheels are configured using newly created web 2.0 sites as 'spokes' that point to their main site, the hub. These really don't help much at all unless you promote them yourself.

I say these qualities make a backlink good. They should be from a known site, with a good PR on the page with the link, not many other outbound links on that page, and should be do-follow. I tend to look for those types of links as they are best in my opinion.

I'd say links that are relative to your niche are best.

The best links are the hardest ones to get. Most links which are automated or easy to obtain are usually of low quality.

Getting high PR, high traffic links will supposedly pass the link juice back to your site. That is the criteria for choosing backlinks to link back to your site.

Links from good article websites can improve your rankings. Also do not get bogged down by PR theory. Try getting links from websites which are related to your business theme.
